So out of this list, Jones retires; Weid possibly traded and question marks over Neita, Bradtke, M Brown, Baker, AVB and Chandler.

That would be 8 changes in all. I don't think we've got the trade/draft currency for that many changes. Maybe 4-5 in all I'd reckon. Jones now retired, Jetta may retire as well.  So I'd think that there may be three from the list above to leave the club. Maybe Neita, Bradtke and one of AVB or M Brown (assuming Weid stays). I think Baker and Chandler will have belting pre-seasons coming up,  having experienced this finals series and wanting to be a part of the next one, I can't see we'd trade either.

I agree I think we will make the minimum of changes. Jetta and Jones to retire and Weid traded. The rookies Mitch Brown will retire and Neitschke will get the chop and Declase and Turner will take their place. I think that's how it works otherwise they would be getting 2 new rookies every season. Bradtke to also get the chop.

No 26 is controversially No 44 Joel Smith 3 games 0 goals thought he would be emergency but he's not so he is probably No 32 and the rest go up 1. Injury prone all year doing his medial but broke into the team late in the year only to hurt his hamstring forcing him out of the last 2 finals.

Posted

No 25 is No 18 Jake Melksham 12 games 8 goals. Found it really hard to get a game once Viney came back from injury.

Posted

No 24 is No 29 Jayden Hunt 20 games 2 goals. The hard luck story of the team. Injured late in the year and couldn't regain his spot in the team due to Hibberd's form.

Posted

No 23 is No 23 James Jordon 25 games 6 goals. Had an impressive season but eventually lost his spot to Sparrow.

No 19 is No 6 Luke Jackson 24 games 16 goals. Rising Star winner and I think the second best ruck going around.

Posted

No 18 is No 14 Michael Hibberd 17 games 0 goals Struggled for form at the end of the year but due to Joel Smith's injury got a reprieve and held his spot for the grand final.

No 17 is No17 Jake Bowey 7 games 0 goals. The games easy for this kid hasn't lost a game yet.

No 16 is No 50 Ben Brown 13 games 25 goals. Really started to hit his strides at the end of the year. A vital cog in the grand final.

14 is No 4 James Harmes 18 games 7 goals. Great year returned to somewhere near his best after a poor year last year.

Posted

13 is No 30 Alex Neal-Bullen 25 games 15 goals. Was on the trade table at the start of the year and turned it around to become one of the best half forwards in the game.

Posted

12 is No 36 Kysaiah Pickett 25 games 40 goals Electrifying all year unlucky not to get goal of the year. Poor grand final but he can't play well every game.

Posted

11 is No 25 Tom McDonald 23 games 33 goals. On the scrap heap at the start of the year but a new diet and fitness regime turn his season around.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
