If he kicks that first goal, the ball goes back to the centre and the future from that point onwards takes on a different path.

That's true. However missed shots for goal are deflating for team mates and have a negative impact on the team's performance. Well, that's what I reckon.

We will see.  I didn't think either of the Wagner's should/would get game time in 2019...
