Not sure if anyone else watched Open Mike last night, but they had Ray McLean on who founded leading teams.

Interestingly, Geelong went through a big shake up at the end of 2006 facilitated by leading teams which led to their stellar 2007 season.

Some of their work with Sydney, Hawthorn and Geelong speaks volumes considering they’ve been the 3 most successful clubs over the last 15 years.

I know Roosy had them doing work for us as late as 2016 (his final year as coach) but I can’t see if there’s been any more involvement since Goody took over.

We've had Leading Teams in on a few occasions I believe, even as far back as Neeld era.  They were in over the 2016 pre-season, we then hired their facilitator (Jim Plunkett) as our General Manager, People Performance & Culture at the end of the year.  So 'Leading Teams' philosophy has been there for the last three seasons.

One of the things I admire about the current setup is that there are NO leaks. For all we know a review has been done and while we are emotionally invested we are not in the loop who this is info is supplied too. We rely on opinion, rumour and innuendo.

Roos gave sound reason why you don't have an external review and reminded us all that the board meets regularly to look at and review each department. The club is constantly reviewing itself and without knowing the exact information we can see that at mid year some serious re arranging of coaching staff occurred. In the last 8 games there was always at least 2 first year players in the lineup often irregardless of form and players sent off you season ending surgery. I suggest there has been lots going on and several assistant coaches have moved on, again this didn't happen by accident.

The external stuff and leaks of info are not about fixing things but appeasing the excess number of journos and the insatiable desire supporters want in order to see justification for what is happening at the club. Be patient sit back and see how much of the so called stuff actually happens.

The club has plans to have a members forum later this year where members will be invited to hear what is going on and express their opinions give feedback.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.

  • REPORT: Richmond

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
