Site design

Nasher (assuming it's you who runs the site), I was going to PM you about whether or not the site will be altered to return to the days of red & blue. But I thought it might go well opening a thread asking whether or not people want it changed, and what they want it changed to.

Are there still plans to return to the design of a month or two ago?

I would like the design of the forum to go back to the old red and blue for the start of the new season :D

Ta for that.

We went through a license upgrade, and in the process a few code changes had to take place. Nozz is working with another fellow Demonlander to come up with the right design for 2007. The aim is to have the site back to feeling like MFC by round 1.

while we're talking about the work people are doing- thanks you again to all the people who work tirelessly so that we can share our thoughts and have discussions. its one thing getting a site up but then having to worry about little things like the colour can add up and sometimes it can be too much.

on behalf of us all thanks for your efforts guys.

A timely reminder, just before things start to get hectic.

Thanks to all our demonland head-honchos in advance for what's going to be a whirlwind season on the boards, what with how highly everyone seems to be rating the dees.

Keep up the good work.

How about fixing the error that crops up on just about every page load since the weekend!

Alternatively, post a thread in the 'Help Forum'.

I woiuld like to thank the Administrators, Moderators and the other people that work behind the scenes here at demonland. :)

Thank you, and keep up the excellent work

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.

  • POSTGAME: Western Bulldogs

The Demons lacked some polish but showed a lot of heart and took it right up to the Bulldogs in an attempt to spoil their finals hopes ultimately going down by a goal at the MCG.
