Yep agree and therin lies the problem. Would not play him until he starts to win his own ball. Not hard to get into space and pick up cheap possessions.

We are not yet at the stage where we can afford the luxury of an outside mid paced receiver. We won on the weekend because we had more goers than in previous games. We had more players that were prepared to work hard and win the hard ball and do the 1 percenters. Add the flair with Roosy's coaching moves and you had a very committed playing group that worked extremely hard.

yep, but our poor culture of the last 10 years, has seen that we do allow these players to become one dimensional when they're young.

we have to demand they all learn to win the hard ball, when its their turn.

There should never be a time, when we allow our young players to be just receivers. without an ability to contest hard physically one on one. its not soccer we play.

If you watched the nationals you would have noticed how good Whitfield looked though, he was right to be pick 1.

Menzel was hands down the best player when fit.
