You're just not right on Neeld Binman. There were questions about the fitness, as there should have been, but he was positive about the club and the possibilities from the very start.

Sorry but I don't think this is true! If positive about the club why did he downgrade the 3 previous b and f winners. Not even in the leadership group! From that moment on, the team was rudderless. Blokes who should have been giving guidance to the 2 captains, no longer had authority to do so.

I think today's news--as I understand it to wait a week or two --is the worst possible.

There are 3 options. The first, which I favor is to move now. The season is not shot. Under a new coach we would learn plenty about the players. And supporters would come back at least to have a look. I know many who will not attend at present.

The second, which I don't like but would have the merit of consistency, would be to say that there will be no change till season's end. It would be gutsy and in my view wrong, but would attract some support, tho not from our fans.

The third, and worst, is to put off a decision for a few weeks. The longer we wait, the season will be shot. To take over now gives a new coach time to achieve something. If, for example, it's done after R 12, there is much less upside for the new coach.

As to the new coach, I may be wrong. Perhaps Neil Craig does bear responsibility for what is happening. But unless that is the case, then to me he is a standout. Damned successful with Crows. Experienced. I worry about throwing Todd to the wolves, and the other experienced options are attached elsewhere . Apart from all else this would be the least costly option. Move Craig up, don't fill his present position and we go some way to meeting the cost of replacing Mark Neeld for whom I do feel sorry.

But we must act now--either way

I'm also in the Craig boat as the logical caretaker coach from here Stu. Unfortunately I cant see much happening before the buy. The board and president probably arent in a position to act given PJ's still in review mode. Probably frozen in fear too, a bit like the players it would seem.

Did he mention the game against the Gold C...., er Gold Suns by any chance?

Best thing to come out of Sunday.

What if Craig does not want the job?

As you say he is very experienced and I wonder what he is doing while Rome burns.

Surely if he thought Neeld was a bum he would have said so by now.

If he has who has not acted on that info?

If Craig thinks he is a good coach what does that say?

My hope is the PJ gets to the bottom of the problem over the next month.
