Davis is a poor decision maker and miskicks too often for my liking. Against Bendigo he kicked it to opposition forwards 5 times. In another game (can't remember which) his handballs resulted in 3 opposition goals. Delist for mine.

Mind you, he was going through a bad patch at the time. His major crime seems to have been that he played his worst game in a televised match.

Davis has shown some good signs and I really thought he might be given a chance at senior level by now. I'd hate to see him discarded even if it means delisting and keeping him as a rookie for another year.

I like Troy Davis and will be really [censored] off if they delist him. He's courageous, has good pace, and a competitive streak. Rivers isn't getting any younger and I think a spot will open up for Davis. He's 192cm's with a strong body. Glass is 192cm's and Ben Rutten only 190cm's, but he does way 100kgs.

Craig Bolton played less than 30 games for Brisbane and left because of Leppitsch and Mal Michael. He went to Sydney and ended up AA, as well as captaining the club. It's the same with Ted Richards. Players need an opportunity and I'd love to see Davis play the last game of the year. If Davis is delisted I reckon he'll be snapped up very quickly.

Chris Dawes is no natural footballer so could be some merit in this

How lucky are we, we didn't get him last year instead of Mitch Clark. Sounded like we were going to offer him much more than Clark too. MFC have had a few trading coups the past few years through no choice of their own.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
