So was Moloney's game last week at Casey no good? Or have his cards simply been marked?

His game the week before marked his papers if they weren't already.

Absolute champion of this club. Congrats greeny and credit to you for the way you have carried yourself along your afl journey.

4.40 on a Sunday, hell of a long time to wait on a weekend to watch some footy, especially given on form we will get spanked. Here's hoping that we can maybe just maybe we can pull something out of the box for Greenies send off. Been a favourite of mine, regardless of his last couple of seasons. Would have been a far better player if we had a better forward line around him for the past few years - get the 3rd Backman rather than the first - ie what Scott Lucas got - Hird and Lloyd need relentless defending Lucas got to float in and pick off easy grabs. All the Best wherever you end up Brad

That 2000 Qualifying Final was definately my most memorable Brad Green moment, and probably one of my most memorable MFC moments.

I remember sitting in front of a family of arrogant Carlton surporters. Carlton were in control of the game at half time, though their woeful kicking for goal kept us in it. At half time, the Carlton supporters were joking how they were going to go up to the snow the following weekend as they wouldn't have to play. They quietened down pretty quickly after half time though.

While a number of our players lifted after half time, it was a young 19 year old kid by the name of Brad Green, playing in his first AFL season, who showed the more experienced and better fancied Carlton outfit how to take the most of your opportunities. It was Green's sure hands and composure in front of the sticks that got us over the line that day, and straight into the Prelim. final. Without Green's individual heroics in the 2nd half, we wouldn't have made it to the first Saturday in September (as it was that year).

Congratulations on a terrific career Brad Green, and I hope the boys can send you out in style!

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
