Now I'm no expert, but...........

1) Why do we have 2 people tackling the same person or converging on the 1 player so often? They end up knocking it out or hand passing it and we have nobody free to get the ball.

2) Our anticipation is terrible. Almost to the point that we have none. 'If I run over here and pick up this guy, then he will go over there and get him, so he will have to take him and.......crap, that guy at the 50m line has nobody on him"

3) The idea of spreading when gaining possession is not difficult to grasp. Is it?

4) Bennell sucks.

5) We have NO aggression. Grimes got smashed at the end of the 2nd quarter and not 1 player went up and confronted the WC player. Could have given away 50 and it wouldn't have mattered. It was like Grimes got shot and nobody wanted to confront the guy in case they got hurt too. WTF? Where is our 'spunk'? Our 'mongrel'?

6) Leading is just running to a vacant spot. With 2 players inside the 50m line, how is there no space to lead to?

7) Green should be put to pasture.

8) Bring in Strauss, Tapscott and Morton (what the hell).

Exactly why Dustin Martin would have been a good fit at the club and why I miss Angry Phil Read - he was always looking for an excuse that bloke!

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
