Irish training Guernsey Auction

Featured Replies

Why was there no reserve on game worn Guernseys and yet there is a reserve (and a $200 one) on training ones?

If you bought a guernsey through the Demon Shop yesterday it was $199. I figure they reckon worn and with a signature means its value is greater than that of just the jumper thus will have to go for more...

I was lucky enough to grab my one yesterday :)

Yerh but worth more then the Reach match worn ones that were also signed?

I dont understand it but I'm guessing 50 were made of the Irish ones whereas there is probably 1000 Reach guernseys. But believe me the costs do get a bit out of hand.

how so? you could only bid on 1 per player and a few extra i think from the shop?

There's a killing amount in the shop. Still selling them at the moment for 124$. If we don't find a sponsor we'll be using the Reach logo for the entire year and have been using them for 4 weeks so there's certainly a few of them out there.

Irish one's were a one-time thing..

44 Irish jumpers (unsigned) went on sale at the demonshop at 5pm yesterday for $200 and are already sold out. The worn signed jumpers will sell for far more I would think.

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.
