I've heard more than once this year that the rookie numbers (per club) are to be reduced in 2012.

Can anyone clarify?

So far Evans and Nicholson have been signed up again as Rookies for 2012.

IMHO Lawrence will also get a gig (as a rookie at the very least).

Does anyone know how many spots are allowed per side?

    I would think they would find it hard to do this to clubs so close to the draft and after trade week personally maybe 2013

    The word was maybe not having a rookie list for extra spots on the main list but it never happened

    There was supposed to be a change with the new CBA, but the slow negotiations have meant there's been no change for this year, beyond a raise in pay for rookies, meaning there's a big squeeze on middle-tier players.
