I don't think he was being dismissive.

Horse had bolted on GWS or GC taking kids at that stage.

GC decided to at least be slightly competitive in their first few years, GWS don't think it matters.

I think they are taking a very NBA Live 2K11 approach to it all - and I think they will regret it, but we will see.

As for the OP - welcome to Demonland or welcome back?

Definitive styles are used by a few and giving oneself the moniker "Voice of the Common Fan" leads me to a certain conclusion...

    I agree...........I would have thought a look at the top 50 players in the competition would be the best place to start, and Scully was nowhere near that.

    There atitude is obviously one of short term pain for longer term gain, so that their young recruits along with the players from other clubs all mature together, and have a sustainded, or so they hope, period of success.

    The problem will be the poor media and public reception they get in Sydney getting pummelled every week, and what will that do to the kids they have got.

    Yeah Sheedy said pretty much this on the live Herald Sun forum this morning, and that was the reason they will be targeting few players over 120 games experience or so.

    I just hope enough of the talent is poached back in the next few years so that they do not come close to the top 8 at all.
