The harsh reality of AFL Football, the fall guy is the coach.

When a team doesnt perform, its the coach.

When injures, loss of form, lack of talent within, its the coach.

I'd just like to say I wish you well in whatever path you decide to take.

You have left our list in a position to go to greater heights, than when

you took on the job.

It was always going to be a tough gig.

Lack of finances, 3rd rate facilities, no super stars to call on.

Yet, not once did we never hear excuses from you.

Although I thought at the time, wrong person for the job,

I held hope you could do something with this train wreck of a club.

The debt was wiped, the young players recruited show heaps of promise.

We, as supporters, were given hope, glimpses of brilliance, then depths of despair.

I wont ever hold you totally to blame, A few more heads can think themselves lucky

The players, should be ashamed, they let you down, you did your best, some

that take the field, can they say, they gave it their all, every game? I dont think so.

Like every general, they need good people around them to, help steer, and advise.

I think we lacked in that area as well.

To the every last, you remained composed, in control and honest.

For all that you did, to help the Melbourne footy club,

I thank you.

Good luck for the future, to you, and your family,
