Dees to get 5 Rising Star Nominations

I like Paul Johnson, and I hope he stays on next year.

One thing Bail doesn't add to the side=Goals!

I would add more, but you told me to keep it clean.

Rohan Bail has a higher goal-per-game average than Paul Johnson. PJ has only kicked 19 goals in his entire career, yet he is apparently a greater Demon than the guy in number 11 who won a Brownlow

Oh what's that? you don't know what you're talking about? I'm shocked.

And while we're comparing a midfielder with the second fiddle ruckman, I would like to point that PJ gets more hitouts than Bail.

Anyone can use stats to prove a point.

Okay, I will.

Bail is better.

So far of the players you have mentioned in your posts - Scully, McKenzie, Jetta. And what they add to their respective sides. ie. getting noticed... what they bring to the side, etc.

Well let's look at their respective goal tally's compared to that of Bail. Just for interests sake.. :P

Player........Career Games.......Career Goals....Average goals/game.

Rohan Bail............6.....................3.........Avg.= 0.50 goals per game

Tom Scully............16..................4.........Avg.= 0.25 goals per game

Jordie McKenzie....17...................2.........Avg.= 0.12 goals per game

Lewis Jetta...........13...................0.........Avg.= 0.00 goals per game

Bail already adds more than you think.

What else do you have ? Please add more, by all means.

Anyone can use stats to prove a point.

Juice Newton is a better forward than Jack Watts. He averages more goals.

Juice: 23 games, 30 goals, average=1.3043

Joke Watts: 13 games, 9 goals, average=0.6923

Isn't Newton 26? Great games tally

I'm quite certain Juice had not spent as much time up field as what Watts has shown to date. Yet you've had a go at Jaded comparing PJ to a midfielder...

Let us also see how many games/goals Watts has next to his name after 5 years in the system.

Your argument(s) resemble swiss cheese.

They both spend time at CHF, so at least I am comparing players at the same position.

HT, you know they're not arguments.

I would have expected better from you.

Didn't your parents teach you not to poke an idiot with a stick?

No. It was always a snake.

Let's move on from this....whatever it is...

I hope Jordie gets a nomination anyway.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
