Hi All

Seeking passionate Melbourne supporters who have great photo-shop skills. I know we have many talented & passionate supporters here.

Sorry I dont have the skills to make "Debt Demolition" banners for websites for distribution around the net.

I know a few website owners who are prepared to run them for free on their sites to get us further free publicity.

I want to run a competition here ... I will pay the winner a token $50.00 Caltex Petrol voucher out of my own pocket.

I need two sized banners

468 x 60 pixels & 720 x 90 pixels

If you could post them here or contact me via PM.

I will contact the winner via PM to get his/her details for the voucher.

Hope this is alright to post in this area ... if its not can a mod please contact me.

Good luck

Lets get behind this debt demolition and clear it forever.

I've been using Photoshop for years and will be happy to help out and produce a banner for you as soon as I can.

P.S. It's "Debt Demolition".

Oooops ... spelling has never been my strongest point ... Your a legend.

Thank-you for your prompt response.

Sorry please note I also made a typo with sizes ...

Should read

468 x 60 & 720 x 90.

Are you after the SAME banner in those two sizes OR two different banners, one in each size?

Cheers.

I'm trying to get a few different banners to try and avoid "banner blindness" ... if that makes sense.

Obviously they will all point back to debtdemolition.com.au ...

But I understand its easier to create 1 style of banner then convert to 2 sizes.

Suppose I'm just hoping we can get a "few" entries ... but whatever you feel is best.

No problems. I'm a bit creatively-minded so bear in mind that it may look better with, not necessarily two of the same banner, but two banners that are similar and have a common presentation/structure about them etc.

Will get onto it.

I was lucky enough to help out with this last year posting the DD ads for free to Dees supporters on the footytips.com.au site.

I'm no longer there but I'm gonna try to get them a good deal if I can.

Love your work guys!

No problems I've already got a few sites lined up & when I get the banners I will hit as many as I can to try and get some free publicity.

Thank-you

Anybody else interested in also helping us to help the Debt Demolition ... the more options we can offer the more chance we have to get other websites interested.

*bump!*

Hopefully we can get some more ideas through...

Yeah that would be great ... I've had a crack myself but my skills are super limited.

You use images tages ["img"]place url of image & remove ""["/img"] But the image should be externally hosted.

Please also consider a "call to action" on the banner .. ie How You Can Help The Demons! or "Click Here For Details"

And voila! :)

Numero 1:

Numero 2:

They are great ... I'm going to leave the competition open for a another 4-5 days hoping we get a few more entries ... then I'm going to start hitting a few prominent AFL websites hoping to try and get some free advertising.

The more banners I have the better chance I have of getting the website owners to say ... YES.

{ED: Okay I forgot the url and hosting on an external site bit]

I went for a busy (to get attention) grunge look inline with 'demolition' so maybe it's not everyone's cup of tea?

The image of the bloke and the fist are from a stock agency so if you would like to use this let me know and I'll foot the 5 bucks for the images and clean em up a bit.

Go Dees!

Hi they are cool .... can you slow the transitions down marginally. They are just a tad hard to read.

The "bloke" image is up to you ... If you can use another image an get out of the $5.00 ... its up to you.

Think these have a good chance to appeal to non-Melbourne website owners.

But great stuff! They are great.

Thanks hangon,

The first version has pace for the effect of it, but here's a slightly longer play version.

I'd be a tad reluctant not to use the bloke in this type of impression as he's part of the overall "vibe". As Darryl Kerrigan might put it.

Then again, I can make an alternate and other version just for the hell of it!

Go Dees

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025. The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence.
