Kick to kick after the game

Featured Replies

Something which had escaped my attention until this morning is that it is possible to have a kick on the G after the game tomorrow. If you didn't do it last year, I can strongly recommend it. Brings back memories from a by gone era and is one of the great new initiatives from the club. Bring your footy and have a bit of a laugh

Ha! Nice post.

Im 34 now, so the thought of kicking on any ground after a big game again is awesome! Don't think i even heard about it last year!

I grew up in Essendon, right next to Windy Hill, an i used to go there every match regardlees of who played, with my Dees scarf on, just to have a kick on the ground after the game.

Remember.. the old head flinging around like an owl on speed, left to right, up an down, trying to catch a glimpse of that one football -out of the dozens flying round- that is destined to smack you right in the face, so you can avoid it - all the while trying to spot the one that your mate actually just kicked to you!..

Ahhh, good times! ;)

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
