Whenever I think of the EJ Whitten Legends Game, I think of Goose. Pity he's not playing for the Vic's tonight. Loved watching him lining up to snag another sausage.

His record is impressive:

>> In 248 games for Mornington, he has slotted through a massive 1623 goals,

>> In 15 games he played for Dromana, he kicked 107 goals,

>> He has kicked more than 150 goals in a season – twice!

>> And more amazingly, he has kicked over 100 goals a season for 11 years straight,

>> The most goals he has kicked in a game is 20,

>> And overall, Goosey has kicked more than 1730 senior goals.

Plus coached Mornington to 4 premierships.

Maybe we could get him in the psd??

He always seemed to beat his opponent (or opponents) without looking flash, still no thx on any coaching roll at melbourne.

He's an assistant coach at Port Melbourne under Gary Ayres....has also played for Mornington again this season to reach the 300 game mark...been some confusion as to how many games he has actually played.

He's a true legend in Mornington

Seecamp was ordinary. Do you mean Shaun Smith? Hard to believe he could leap as high as he did, but still handy in front of goal. Strauchnie can actually play, I thought he was just a buffoon.

  • GAMEDAY: Brisbane

It's Game Day and the Demons return to the MCG after a dismal performance in Gather Round to face the reigning dual Premiers Brisbane. What do expect to see from the Dees today?

  • PREVIEW: Brisbane

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.

Melbourne’s much vaunted finishing power evaporated at Adelaide Oval on Saturday afternoon, exposed for the third time in four years by its Essendon Gather Round hoodoo.
