Casey Scorpions v Box Hill Hawks 21/3/09

If it was within the first 5-10 mins on the clubroom wing then it was Aussie, was almost right in front of where I was sitting having a beer. The handball was not quite right and turned over but the pick up and turn was great to see.

No the Aussie incident was in a similar spot less than 5 minutes later.

There's an easy way to resolve the impasse. RudeBoy, who is Liam's mentor and friend and who has posted here about him, would have been at the game watching intently. I'll defer to his judgement on the issue.

Guilty as charged your honour. It was Liam. I was pretty happy with his game, it being his first hit out since arriving at the Dees in early January. Back home he's generally the full forward and is used to everyone looking for him. It will no doubt take him some time to get used to being the 3rd target. The upside to LJ is enormous, but a bit of patience will be required.

Thanks RudeBoy. I'll accept the verdict and visit my optometrist in the morning.

It was a sensational piece of play!

Thanks RudeBoy. I am happy to be patient with LJ and allow him time to adjust, but that one little piece of magic was worth the drive out to Casey to watch the game.

ha ha and I did think at one point gee wiz I'd love to have a go on those water slides even though I'm 31!

Haha, I know what you mean.

Don't listen to casey scorp when he says it's for the kids ;)

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
