  1. Just got here to see JKH sprain a finger and walk back to AAMI. Then ANB got caught up with Lewis diving for a loose ball in a beach flags type drill and immediately grabbed his knee and looked very upset. Walked off unaided back to AAMI. I wonder if his patella popped in and out again. No Jetta or Brayshaw here since I've been here
  2. Mr Oliver trained with the main group and completed the 2 and 1/2 hour session, miraculous return to full fitness Lots of the same drills, including a lot of non preferred kicking and lots of one on one battles and it was hot still running on top of the ground at the end Harmes, Jones, Melksham, Bugg, Watts, Hogan and Lewis
  3. A bit sunnier today, but windy Absentees Neal Bullen and Trengove, spoke to Billy Stretch, said ANB is strong character handling latest setback really well Casualty ward, Howe, still checking out his hammy, said another check today, Vince hamstring soreness, Pedersen, a deload day (explained the day is just about straight line running, the bigger guys get these days regularly), Hogan, all smiles, still on his modified program, no issues at the moment, Max King rocked up, looked terrible, assume he is crook, attempted to train then left , few others on light days Spoke to Viv Michie, a man of few words, travelling really well, only missed two sessions of pre season, feeling fit and fresh (looked really good in the drills today) Spoke to the Pig Dog as well, glad to be back in full training, trying to just get up to speed, his skills were a lot better today as well, said ring rust on Monday Billy Stretch has put on 2 kilos, amusing bit today, taking on Petracca in a one on one In one drill you had to kick down the wing, a few players didn't account for the wind, was standing in gap on fence taking pictures, when Sam Frost came hurtling towards me chasing a wayward kick, whole life flashed before me, thankfully he managed to avoid me and the fence and injury, for a big guy he has good brakes Spoke to the Russian, complimented him on how he is looking at training, feeling completely rejuventated, was one of the last off today, practicing his kicking and other things with Justin Plapp (will have to get this name right before start of season) Any questions feel free
  4. Reasonable morning to watch training, pics will be up on my Twitter account Demonpk later Only 2 missing today Trengove and Roh Bail On modified program Watts, Terlich, Gawn, Spencer, Riley, McKenzie, Kent, Dawes, Harmes, Stretch, Brayshaw and to some extent Bernie Vince After the physical pounding they took on Monday, today was more about ball work, there was an interesting one being run by Ben Mathews with chain passing and it was being timed, there was another goal kicking one where they received the ball from a backwards kick from the pocket into a central position about 40 out There was also a lot of work going on with picking up ground balls Answer to a burning question, Dave Misson said it would ideal if Petracca played at around 90-92kg, he is 94 at the moment, Angus Brayshaw said he would like to play at 88kg, so yes a pair of big boys. Keeping with the new boys, I asked Billy Stretch, said he hasn't been doing a lot of extra work, just the normal footy traiinig, he said it was genetic from his old man, thinks he will have to put on some bulk. Alex Neal Bullen was a State rep in distance running so he has the tank, says his main focus will be increasing his speed, Oscar McDonald is enjoying it, relishes the hard work like his bro One person bouncing around today was Dom Tyson, so at the end asked how he was going, the smile when he answered was blinding, just pumped to be injury free and able to do every session, really enjoying the coaching, learning so much, looking at going up another notch this year and knows he needs a full pre season to do that Had a joke with JKH about his musclebound physique, which he thought was funny, persuaded him to do a 'guns' pic, will be on Twitter, a good sport Any questions feel free
  5. Usual drills Injury report from Dave Misson, as they were missing, Watts a groin issue and Kent a quad issue Spoke to the following Spencer, ankle is fine, has had a bit of back soreness so they are holding him back a bit Max Gawn should be back in full training in a week or so, Harmes has had Glandular Fever, knocked him around a bit, lost 3kg,intends to work over the Xmas break to catch up, Terlich another week or so, Vince New Year before he can test out the shoulder, Michie who has looked a bit down, had the dreaded gastro, really "drained" him JKH will be wearing a support on his knee as a precaution, getting better each session Tommy Mc has a hamstring tendon issue, nothing serious but they are monitoring it Jack Fitzpatrick is glad to be getting through his first pre season, diabetes now just part of daily routine Christiian Salem absolutely shattered that Man City scored two late goals to win in the Champions League, he is on a bit of a modified program HL is just easing his way back into it, just a bit of tightness My November flyer - Jimmy Toumpas Roos was not there so assume already on the Gold Coast or doing some last minute decision making, none of the recruiting department were there,, and you usually get one or two watching but Tommy Mc doesn't think his brother will still be there at 40, disappointed but happy for him, most players seem to think St Kilda will go with McCartin JKH told me that Nev Jetta is like an uncle and 'keeps him in line' Jeff Garlett is very approachable and very humble, complimented him on a nice set shot from the boundary he did and he shrugged it off, Nev of course couldn't resist and started saying that Garlett is going to win us a premiership The pics I took will be on my Twitter Demonpk, sometime this afternoon
