i think this game sits perfectly for the donnybrook and cant hurt our club in any way at all. actually id pay an extra 20.00 if it was gonna happen. galvanising the team.would just love it.

said this before,but here goes nothing. playing in some teams with younger players and getting done by plenty,reminded me of the old coaching trick. hasnt been done since ess/hawth 12 years ago. start a good old fashioned all in,it gets all the players wound up and gives the coach the ripping line at 1/4 time,we aint lying down for no bugger.it glavanises the team,it promotes competiveness.it makes the young guys stand up and it also brings togetherness at the next training session,especially when the laughter about fines,punches ,who hit who and this sort of conversation takes place. also noted is carltons lack of leadership{as ours}its something we can actually build on and at least give the club some spirit. not the worst way to build good old fashioned hatred of losing.

,mitch has shown courage to try and get back to full strength at training the past 18 months, i myself have hidden in a room and occassionally gone into the paddock and thrown rocks at trees.it helps sometimes and is better than drugs, your not understanding the situation is ok by me,i cant knock your lack of knowledge in this department. but its a good idea to recognise courage under extremes,thanks for pointing out the mental fragility of the club. hope this club doesnt implode in a mental collapse and ruin your life.

just realised that if and only IF we were a winning club. this page would not even exist. so for all the doom and gloom,at best we are in front of other clubs,we have a common join and its catching. no winning equals friendship and hilarity for us on demonland. so we are winners in fact, thanks for the friendship everybody.

would like to see an old fashioned donnybrook. this generally gets blokes up and marching. not that were tough,but are less tough than us. besides its good for the club and sponsors, show the young blokes,we dont take chit of anybody.

good mate of mine{working at collingwood and friend of MN}came along to a dees game with me and remarked at quarter time,wow this bloke is a beauty,cant believe every other club missed out on him.thought he would carry us into the future and should have been captain asap. not a sad day for mitch,but the start of his life. hope he grows old and has a ripper life. thanks mate.

jockeys dont win you games. big kpp do. always said that drafting jockeys is a waste of time,theres heaps of them out there. your right,we drafted wrong and like most clubs,the penalty for doing this is long term.

funny you say that,we were chinwagging yesterday about city people losing there appreciation of life. every time a city person comes down here for footy, they remark how cheap our beer and food is. every time i got to mcg,i marvel at the cost of food and drink{its disgusting really}. also down here,players are allowed to hip and shoulder,and the ump says" play on nothing in it."

this bloke{pr}isnt afraid to draw lines through names. he already dropped the lazy one from last week and will continue to do so. but some posters here mistake reasons for being dropped. making a skill error is not a problem ,most coaches accept we all make skill errors. but laziness,inability to get to the contest.lack of cohunas and a few other reasons are what get players dropped. and this bloke WILL sort them out.

only about asada,one of me mates has a kid at north,working in science dept. noticed push in the back is finished even at local level.this rule is gone. steak sangas,3.00 bucks and with onion . mothers still yell out chit,when their son is involved in an incident. 7.50 to get in. beer 3.00 per can{light} the local coppers son is no good.{gets a game on name only} apollo bay are average,but otway districts are averagerrrrr. game finished by 4.00 home in time for milking. got the telly warmed up for today,but ready to watch history channel if things go bad. why didnt somebody remind me of time change?? biff and bbo,probably have taken full advantage and got an extra hours drinking and chasing ugly girls.

went to local footy yesterday,the club isnt any good atm,so the coach played 6 kids under 17 yo. they interchanged with smiles on their faces,they chased hard,they enjoyed the footy and ran out the game well. we just dont have a champion at our club any more,just average,no champ whatsoever. other clubs have young players who look great and run around like a madman for a couple of years until maturity. every club has these players that we watch and think,wow hes gonna be great one day. i know losing mitch has been a kick in the arse for us,but we still dont have a champ and we dont have a racehorse running around like a madman , learning the game and giving us hope for the future.its very bleak. time to get dangerfeild,or at least put a top offer to him and become live in the current football market. when clubs try to poach top class players and miss,other managers all of a sudden put feelers out to the club about their player. we desperately need a gun player ,a champ . most dee followers think we have players on the way up,but they are all just going to be players at best. time to open the safe and grab a champ.
