  1. YEEEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHAYAAYAYYYYYYY!!! Ive waited so long so say that it feels good!!! Sweet lord Jesus we're actually competition
  2. I'm up for it. As supporters sitting around discussing what's wrong and what needs to happen is great and all... But it's not achieving the changes we want. I agree that it shouldn't be up to us to do anything. BUT these are desperate times... And it's been dragging on for years (it's been argued 50). So maybe we should do something about it! It would be a powerful message that may just attract enough media attention to help eventually bring the house down. A first time. It may show the AFL and our club that we're just not accepting it anymore. But it would need to be huge.
  3. I'm hearing you, I hatesnakes. I was thinking of posting the same thing. I feel like if AFL wont do anything then maybe we need to show our outrage. Demand that Schwab goes. It's would be symbolic. In a way I'm glad we've got this bad now as something may finally be done about it. My concern is that Mclardy, Schwab will be too selfish to fire themselves. Final note, I do think we need to do better at supporting our players. Booing them doesn't help. It makes me feel even more embarrassed about our club culture.
  4. Completely agree re Neeld's uninspiring speech. Couldn't understand why he would authorise that to be telecast. Was that supposed to reassure us? It only made me more concerned. Although I think our problem runs far deeper than Neeld (Mclardy, Schwab etc have got to) he just has to be held responsible. Our players are not under 17s, they are fit elite atheletes. 18 footballers manning up against another 18 with the same skill set. It's not David and Goliath. The difference between two teams should not be 148. Something is terrible wrong. We are not developing our young players and we are making dumb decisions with recruitment. Neeld says he still doesn't know where Jack Watts belongs. Well f$cking work it out! There's no way Neeld will go anytime soon. Firstly, it would just disrupt us more right now. Secondly it would blatantly expose the inadequacies of our football managers and the mistake they made shafting Bailey or even rejecting Sheedy 5 years ago. .
  5. I totally agree with you Muvver. Like a rotten fish our club rots from the head down. The common denominator in all of these years is the ppl at the top. Only they don't realise it's them and look to blame or sack everyone else instead. It's almost funny except it's not, it's so pathetically bad. If neeld can't turn this around, hes just another bad decision we've made. Like half our recruitment decisions...we seem to want the players/coaches no one else cares about. Yet he has come into a losing culture club, it's probably rubbed off on him. No excuse but it all adds to it.
  6. The problem with our club is the ppl at the top, like Schwab and those responsible for our recruitment. They look to blame everyone else and don't realise that they're the only common denominator in all of these muck football years. They don't realize it's THEM that's the problem. I went to a Melbourne best and fairest 2 years ago and it was the most uninspiring event I'd ever been to. Our culture was loserville. I thought, this is where our problem lies. (With the exception of the respectable Jim Stynes, who was very ill that night). We need a new leader to restore it, someone with guts, passion and a dose of arrogance that instills from the top down that we are still mighty dees, the best club. Until we get rid of most of the decision makers at the top, then I don't see anything changing for a long time.
