  1. "I'm sure I'll look at free agency during the year and speak with my manager and the club" Did you read it Stu?
  2. Read the article....I was looking for the bit where he talks about his dissapointing form over the last couple of years and how he feels as though he owes the club for everything they've done for him. He could then go onto say after some strong showings in NAB challenge 1 and 2 he feels this could be his breakout year and the thought of free agency hadn't even entered his mind.
  3. Article of AFL app states Watts was keen to be part of Melbourne's future but wants to explore his free agency options. Here's an idea, try performing consistently for, I don't know let's say 3 games in a row. Sorry Jumbo but Watts your free to go, you can take Grimes and Garland with you. Then and only then will the list be fully turned over.
  4. I was being sarcastic. Of course Tom goes to Nick.
  5. Who plays on him? Surely not McDonald. Reading the other thread apparently he can't kick, lucky he's in the side as a key defender.

  7. Classic Melbourne. Play against an under strength opposition and mentally switch off....again. Disappointing but to be expected.
  8. Game 3 id like to see a back line of Jetta Frost Wagner Salem Tmac Vince and for at least the first 2.5 - 3 quarters. I know what I'll get from Garland and Dunn, let's mix it up.
  9. On the outside the club is all smiles but on the inside the coaches would be scratching their heads. Take the win but still a long way to go.
  10. As I've mentioned numerous times I didn't see the game so I'm not sure of the context surrounding McDonalds kicks. If he has Salem, Wagner and Vince around him you effectively remove the need for him to try and be creative. Leave him to do what he does best and that is play on and beat opposition key forwards. I remember when Roos first took over, the buzz phrase was "he plays his role", since when has it been the role of a CHB to be setting up play. Someone floated the idea of a Jones/Vince playing opposite Salem about a week ago and I shot the idea down, the more I think about it the more I like it.
  11. I seem to remember you copped a lot of flack on here late last year for standing your ground on Garland. Fast forward a few months and....surprise, oh sorry there's no surprise.
  12. I will start by saying I didn't say the game. Tmac is an elite defender, he's not an elite user of footy. Why is he in a position that he's bringing the ball out of defense or trying to spot teammates up in the corridor? Were our structures there? From what little I heard on the radio they were. Who played on the other back flank opposite Salem? A good team would place elite users of the footy around him, him primary job is to beat the oppositions key forward reading other posts they have him defending well today. As I've stated before, ideally every player is an elite kick but we know that's not feasible. In my opinion a team can justify having three players in its 22 that aren't elite users because of the roles they play. They are the FB, CHB and RUCK. Glad to hear Garland backed up his BOG last week with another stand out performance. 3 years....
  13. Hunt and Wagner might be a little of the pace....ok, we also have a few senior players who are clearly off the pace, getting towelled up by a VFL side. I'd rather back the younger players in. There needs to be a team rule, (with the exception of FB/CHB/RUCK) if you can't kick the footy or continually made bad decisions you don't play. We have senior players that need to go back and develop at Casey. I was working again so didn't see the game, caught bits and pieces on the radio. From what I could work out we are setting up better and the structures are there but our disposal is letting us down.
  14. I would like both Hunt and Wagner to get full games next week, but they won't, we'll play the same players who make the same mistakes year after year. There are no excuses left, simply [censored] them off, and don't bring up experience, the Bulldogs had only 6 players with more than 26 games experience today. We are a mess. We signed Garland for three years, what a joke. NAB or not we went out to win and were shown up in a big way,
