A Day at the Races
Thanks Macca. Personally, Iād love to see a match race between Winx and one of her rivals. Never going to happen though. Watching the American style of racing reminded me of a great story about the little champ āSeabiscuitā during the Great Depression. I highly recommend the book to anyone that enjoys racing. Seabiscuit- Three Men And A Racehorse We are lucky we have seen two of the finest thoroughbreds in Black Caviar and Winx. We are often reminded of Australiaās rich racing history with Phar Lap and Tulloch, the Seabiscuit story adds to the history of racing in general. Hereās a video of a match race. This is only a small part of the story and hopefully not a spoiler.

A Day at the Races
Yes, money back Macca. In excess of 60k for the quaddie, I know a few that follow jockeys but not many that would follow D.Moor.

A Day at the Races
Wow, D Moor rides the quaddie at Caulfield. Had to throw a couple of bucks on Working From Home, seems that is what we are doing today.

A Day at the Races
Tough day Macca all round, lucky I didnāt follow Saint Velorem, stayed in the barriers and missed the start by 7 lengths, that feels like a win.

Good luck with your tri coming up @Macca

Lol, the Great Gunrunner has run 3rd twice at Port Hedland Wadda, Winx still has a little catching up to do.? How lucky are we? Black Caviar, now Winx !???

A Day at the Races
In the first 4 races, the winning jockeys in Adelaide have gone H Coffey/J Kah/H Coffey/ J Kah. Both ride decent chances in the next.

What do think about Saint Valorems chances in the race Macca? I followed the horse last preparation without too much success.

Can someone let us know when Viridine finds a way out? Lap full of horse.....just a little annoying sometimes this caper.

Lol, thatās the Australian version. Gun Runner is American. If I searched correctly, record stands as 19 Starts- 12-3-2.

A Day at the Races
The scratchings will aid his quest somewhat to break the streak Macca. A lot will need to go right for Dan to salute IMO. Itās interesting they kept the horse at 1200m, with the way he hit the line I thought a step-up to 1400m would be ideal. Looking forward to an enjoyable day in front of the box.

NHL
If todayās game is anything to go by Macca, the Vegas vs LA series could go down to the wire. Vegas more than held their own in the hit department but could that wear them down if it goes to 7? They are one of the quickest skating teams I have seen, Vegas started the game well but gradually the Kings started to create scoring chances not so clear cut though, Fleury was great in goals for Vegas on the back of some good defensive plays by their D men. LA needs Muzzin back ASAP, heās a big loss, especially from an offensive production aspect. I hope the Leafs knock those Bruins out in 4. Game 7 back in 2013 between those two was one of the most heartbreaking games I have ever seen. Leafs up 4-1 with 10 mins to go and lost 5-4 in OT. Many would agree that playoff hockey is one the most exciting spectacles on the planet. Tipping Nashville to win the Cup.

I saw a caption on TV a little earlier Macca, I believe it was from the Waller camp, in their opinion, there are 4-5 horses that can beat her in the race. Also, some rumours earlier in the week on radio and one article on racing.com about the Queen Elizabeth being her last start possibly. Have you heard anything similar?

A Day at the Races
Ha Ha Macca, it felt a little like cheating by suggesting Almandin early. This is more of an option being āsafeā. Funny you mentioned āHandsome Thiefā. I almost made it my ā Bestā, didnāt want to disrespect the Great Zephyr , odds are very short too. Nice pick āHiyaamā by the way.

NHL
Love the NHL, no Blackhawks this post-season. Looking forward to the Maple Leafs v Boston series. Maple Leafs owe them big time from a few years ago.

A Day at the Races
Going early fellas. Best Bet: Randwick Race 8 No.1 Almandin. Currently $4.20 with TAB, hoping the āClassā factor gets him home. Tricky fields once again and found it hard to identify a standout. Dan Zephyr returns. Caulfield Race8 No.9 Connections were happy with the way the horse hit the line last start. Canāt draw a barrier to save its life, drawing wide (12) again. Last night odds for Dan showed $51, into $41 this morning. Maybe the plunge came on the back of a humorous twist. The horse hasnāt won for 17 runs, yes folks, a 17 run losing streak, sound familiar? āNobody beats the Zephyr 18 times in a rowā.

Great thanks mate. Kids got a few slaps at the end from the players and now theyāre all smiles. Hoodoo done and dusted!

A Day at the Races
Very smart selection Wadda. Nothing in Brisbaneās two games so far has indicated a blow out against Port.
-
A Day at the Races
You just fell in with the Brisbane selection Wadda.

A Day at the Races
Not IMO Wadda. Front row behind Punt Rd goals bottom level. Kids refuse to sit anywhere else, you know...... they want a Hi-5 from the players after games should we win. This is the only place I can take them where I donāt hear the words ā Dad, Iām boredā

Will do Wadda, seems kids are in good voice also.
