Melbourne a victim of media lynch mob I stole this from Demonology, easily the best summary I have read.

Fitzpatrick looks great, until he gets the ball. -
I liked it, but I didn't like the last line about an "amnesty", as that implies that Melbourne did do something wrong when the rest of the article highlights that they didn't do anything wrong.
-
"Tanking" comes down to intent, pure and simple, but as you state it is difficult to prove.EDIT: It is interesting to note that The Age are pursuing the intent (Schwab and Connolly) whilst the Herald Sun are pursuing the action (Richmond game).

Most rotations come from the players themselves, therefore I'm not surprised rotations are up when a team is winning. Players will be up and about, more proactive and playing with more confidence, therefore more likely to make a rotation and make the effort to sprint off the ground. I think rotations are often a reflection of how a team is playing, not the other way around.
-
Weren't rotations down in the Richmond game because the team was down to one player on the bench? Again, it comes back to the point we all established on Demonland which is the motive for any positional changes or drop in rotations.

The "bringing the game into disrepute" one is interesting because remember Ben Cousins never actually tested positive for drugs. It seems to be the AFL's blanket punishment, the good part is that it looks as though individuals are being targeted over the club.
-
No I'm not, if anything I am putting them out.
-
That's my point exactly, you are arguing different things.
-
why you little, you are not actually arguing against what Ben-Hur is saying. He is simply pointing out why things are happening, not what he thinks should be happening. I can't believe I keep looking at this thread. Surely we need to introduce a maximum post per day limit?

Sums it all up pretty well. I don't think suspending the players is punishment, extra training sessions to work off all the grog should be their punishment. -

Agreed. -
Rotations are dictated by the players choosing to come off, therefore the players should take the blame for low rotation numbers.

Merry Christmas everyone!
-
No, she clearly mentions the club as well as the individuals.
-
deegirl has runs on the board I believe, or am I mistaken?
-
No they didn't, West Coast did.

Remember when run and carry was brought in and was strongly against it, but people such as Fan argued it was "modern football"? Nowadays teams are doing the things I was calling for, long kicking to forwards in the forward line in particular helped Geelong win a flag last year. The Bailey and Daniher years were the worst tactically in the modern era, I could see it but the cheerleaders couldn't.

You completely missed the context of my post, there was an "if" I was referring to.

I should have added and performs well in the VFL too.

If he puts on enough size and strength he could very well get picked up again in a few years time, as mentioned he does have the basic elements to his game.

It's the jumper manufacturer who should be offering this not the club. I doubt it would even be any more expensive than just using standard sizes.
