With the reduction in rotations we certainly need another ruck option, I just don't don't know if Kreuzer is the right option.

Having only just watched the replay for the first time, I can see how people see a little bit of Fyfe in Harmes. Of course he isn't anywhere near the same talent but the way he plays and his body type is similar.

I don't know what it is, but the win over GWS is making me far more interested in the finals this year.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
Straight Sets Simon replied to Theo's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'd prefer to bring back Cale Morton. -
I'm managing to watch the replay from overseas. It simply involves someone at home setting up a laptop with an iPad in front of it and watching via FaceTime. The quality is about as good as the AFL app so not too bad.

The point is they still need to be traded. I understand the players usually get their way as to where they go but I still think people don't understand how trading works.

My 3 word player analysis for 2015
Straight Sets Simon replied to joeboy's topic in Melbourne Demons
Wrong about Jetta, the rest pretty good. -
He has to be traded no matter what because he is not a free agent. I don't think 90% of football fans understand the trading system which has only been around for about two decades now. They just hear the words "free agency" and assume all players can just walk to wherever they like.

I'm overseas as well, can't wait to watch the replay.

If White and vandenBerg both end up as good players then we have had a great rookie draft.

I want to see Dunn drop five kilograms before anything else. I do like him as a player (most of the time).
-
I wouldn't be surprised at all if he was traded.

Didn't get to see the game, can't wait to see some highlights. Winning at Etihad is a big relief.

Explain.

How's White going?
-
Watts is like any other player, he will be traded if the price is right.

Great to have this bloke (McCartney) at the club
Straight Sets Simon replied to Chris's topic in Melbourne Demons
One of the more enjoyable interviews I've seen for a while I must say. -
No, the reason we made so many draft choices is because we were continually looking for the wrong type of player.

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 23
Straight Sets Simon replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Jetta (calf) and Spencer (concussion) are out, Jamar and M. Jones into the squad according to Patrick Keane. -
Some serious questions asked about Paul Roos ...
Straight Sets Simon replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
This is a key point and something I've taken a while to get my head around. -
"The talks are progressing well, we haven't offered him a contract which is great for us so they are going really well." I have a lot of time for Garland and all that he's been through, but I think he needs to go.

FAREWELL DANIEL CROSS
Straight Sets Simon replied to La Dee-vina Comedia's topic in Melbourne Demons
It's amazing how so many players have come out said how professional Cross is, how much they have learned from him and so on, but how many have actually put what he does into practice? -
If he's a spud I'm blaming you. I'm looking forward to his debut by the way.

Exactly, but that's through no fault of the club in a development sense. For those handful of years where we drafted so poorly we looked for the wrong type of player and not players who through their own ability, willingness or physical attributes would improve. No level of club development could improve them, they were just poor choices and every day I wake up and give thanks that Barry Prendergast is no longer involved with our club.
