  1. Seen nothing from him to suggest heโ€™s no more than a VFL player.
  2. Essendon will blow this game right open. They just score too easily.
  3. Weideman overran the ball on the ground again.
  4. Brayshaw kicking on his left when he doesnโ€™t have to again.
  5. We look slow. We canโ€™t tackle. We fumble. We constantly overrun the ball on the ground. We canโ€™t hit targets. We donโ€™t know how to crumb. We canโ€™t break tackles. We have no structure. We have zero accountability.
  6. What the hell was Hibberd doing then?
  7. Both probably. The basics kill us though.
  8. Weโ€™ve overrun the ball on the ground about eight times already.
  9. Our inability to pick the ball off the ground is embarrassing. We constantly overrun it on the ground.
  10. Are we playing with 16 on the ground?
  11. Soft free kick but Iโ€™ll take it.
  12. Our forward line is already a mess. Two players overran the ball straight away.
  13. If Preuss is injured or Playing for Melbourne then who rucks for Casey?
  14. It's not about Gawn being physically beat up, it's about having to keep up with two genuine opponents. Also, when our second ruck options like Weideman go into the ruck we struggle.
  15. Hurley and Francis will cover McDonald and Weideman easily. The rest of our forward line isn't much chop so they won't be too concerned.
  16. Our handling of Preuss is puzzling. We played him with Gawn (in the role he was brought in to play) against Collingwood in the practice match and from all reports they worked well together and he was a good forward option. We then played him on his own in JLT1 in a role he is not suited for (sole ruckman) and he was unsurprisingly exposed. We then dropped him for JLT2 and went back to Gawn as the sole ruckman while Preuss was injured paying for Casey. Gawn hasn't been at his best so far and was worked over by two rucks in round 1. He did better against Geelong but having another big option forward to captialisse on all our forward entries wouldn't have hurt. Essendon are going with two ruckmen tonight in a bid to work Gawn over. We cannot afford to run Gawn into the ground any longer and Preuss should be playing in the role that we brought him in to play.
