Thanks. interesting. A Clarrie able to play outside, in addition to his elite inside work. Would win our next 5 B&F's

Ah cool. Edin Zanker, Maddy Guerin, and my fav Alyssa Mifsud please. Big fan of the Womens game, but thought we were a tad short. Zanker is a big girl who will help, if she can play.

In what way Sat? Please explain

Bloody fantastic pics Tim. Covered all the names I mentioned. Balic looks quite tall in every pic I see of him. Must have a bolt-upright running style. O-Mac looking good, and noticed Weideman looked to have bigger arms than last year. Thanks for making the off season a little more bearable. Great pics.

Will be very nice if he has the same hard edge as Hunt. Will help in his quest for a spot. Two Hunts streaming through the midfield would be a nightmare for oppo coaches.
-
He would want to pull his finger out, and start giving his all. When does his contract run out?
-
All of the new blokes, in particular Spargo, Petty & Balic Also O Mac, to see if he has added any weight to his frame, and Keilty.
-
Thanks anyway. I tried that, nah, no go.

Reckon Drunkn167 might become Hangover167 if that's the case. How proud and excited would a bloke be to see his brother make his AFL debut? Hope it becomes a reality for you bloke.

Are they available anywhere except that damn Facebook?

Thank christ we have something resembling football to talk about. Late next month we see the boys on the field again. I love the pre-season comp. Beats watching the Poms bat any day. Surprised we haven't heard more about the new boys. Years gone by it's all we would hear about. How can you tell if a players heart is "in it"?

The radio news is good. Have always liked it more than any other media. But as a package, I would rejoice at the death of the ABC because of its enormous lefty bias in any show that has opinions on it. It's the media arm of the ALP. Any channel that allows anti-Australian filth like yasmin to put its face forward deserves to have its funding withdrawn. imo Do you work on a particular show, or is it a more general job that you do? I'm surprised we didn't discuss it while on the turps in Philippines. Are the personalities there as big headed as we see on commercial media?

The world needs more Ruperts.

Anyone can. I've worked with a few of them. As a matter of fact, we just had a woman join our blast crew in the past month, with almost zero experience in mining. (Don't get me started on that)

Melbourne player investigated over alleged assault whilst overseas

Ding, meet Sue. I think Sue is a legal type? Dunno, but seems to have a firm grip of reality in this case. -

I cannot imagine any scenario (regarding the original accusation) where a player would be touched by those rules without a formal complaint being lodged with the appropriate department in Bali. Just couldn't happen. -
Cities maybe, but where the big union dues are, they are still hanging on, granted on a much reduced membership. As soon as times pick up again, and they always do, the competition for permanent employees grows, and that's where the unions come back to the fore. I for one would benefit greatly from a unionised workforce. Simply need the price of coal to stay solid, and for a few long term supply contracts to be signed. Some unions in the cities killed themselves, by holding construction companies to ransom until the appropriate kickbacks were paid. As for the others, it's usually your leadership that brings you undone, and mostly while seeking self-gain.

No they haven't, at least not entirely. The non-union mine that I work at, pays $125k base for a shotfirer, whereas the (heavily) unionised nearby BMA mine gets paid $160k+ for the exact same job, on the exact same roster. Then add % based bonuses and Super on top. All for a yearly union sub of approx 3 grand or so. On the flip side, I dropped more than 30 grand after taking redundancy from my last job, and accepting the same job on a staff individual agreement. All political parties have a image problem, because they are all led by the same kind of people. It's not unique to the ALP.

Civil fairness? Care to explain what you mean by this? Are you inventing a new legal standard? -

I agree, but that's not my point. The AFL may want the "victim" to see that it has provided some form of justice, and that would not surprise me one bit. -

You might get a clue if there is a player with a mysterious injury for several weeks at the start of the season. It would not surprise me in the slightest. -
Will be back in Phuket with the brother in early April. Will probably make the trip to Phi Phi to visit the resting place, as we did last time we were there. Hoping the site is better cared for than it was back then. R.I.P Troy. Although the comments get fewer each year, you are still remembered, even if some of us don't say anything. I hope Troys family are ok at this time, and remember the good times.

Merry Christmas everyone. If you are out and about, make sure you get home to your families in one piece.
