Do we start overturning cars now?

Who gives a f*&% about some wanks opinion, when a game is only 20 minutes long? Would like to see Hannan in a game like this. Reckon he would be great in this format

I'm conflicted. I really want to beat Norf by a long way, but I also think we should be resting our better players to give ourselves a better shot at the big one. I mean, its a Grand Final after all.

Might be time to switch to half nips Dingus

Batsmen are going off in the T20 against the Kiwis

Cale Morton as the body model?

I'm starting to think Cassie has a problem with soccer.

Welcome to Demonland bloke. Or sheila. Whatever. (pssst, I think it's Gil, trying to [censored] off some tickets to fill the stands. Be nice to him)

Stupid format. Excited to see the Dees play tonight.

From a long time member, tell your mates thanks for the work they do for our club. The fund raising efforts, in addition to the vocal support you provide at games, are very much appreciated by many of us.

Nope. Its a paper mache Moomba float towed behind a barely disguised Massey Ferguson, with The Seekers playing their old hits, and Zig & Zag mingling with the crowd, and juggling/miming, while providing their usual jocularity. Ah, AFL, you have no rival when it comes to entertaining the plebs.

Slow, uncoordinated, with no awareness? This style of game certainly does not feel like the "footy is back"

Great post. Agree with every word. We have our star in Oliver. He is going to be one of the best in the competition in the next few years, and will be offered Federal Reserve money from other clubs. Would love to see Wines in the Red & Blue, and my god our midfield would be intimidating, but just cant see where the funds would come from. Watch for Norf to offer 1.5m p.a over 7 years, fail to get a bite, and for Wines to re-sign with Port. @ding What are your connections saying?

I think we can win this game, even with those 3 playing.
-
I considered Pedo and Baker. Went with no to Pedo, as I think this format will be run, run, run, and not as suited to a bigger body. I would expect Baker to get a run though. Wagner? Sorry, can't bear to watch him play in any format. No lateral agility whatsoever, and seems to lack the footy smarts also.

No injuries

Will be interesting. If we really are taking it seriously (I doubt it), then surely we will see a couple of our better players having a run. I personally think those 2 would be ideally suited to this format.

Anyone having a guess at the 10 players for the first game? Billy Stretch Jake Melksham James Harmes Tom Bugg Jay Kennedy-Harris Jayden Hunt Alex Neal-Bullen Mitch Hannan Joel Smith Baily Fritch? Not having seen any footage, I have no clue if any talls will be used. I mention Smith as he could ruck, but is a mobile player, as is Fritsch Hunt, Harmes, Bugg as defenders Hannan, Fritsch/Smith as forwards, with whoever of Fritsch/Smith playing on ball. Neal-Bullen, Stretch, Melksham, JKH as midfielders @Satyriconhome have you seen anyone unusual training as a ruck the past few weeks?

Viney Setback? (Will miss AFLX & JLT, On track for Rd 1)
faultydet replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
If we are going to be a serious threat for finals, we should have a list capable of beating Geelong without Viney. -

Yeah I know. But I can set my watch by you however. At the 3rd stroke, Wiseblood will complain about negativity. beep, beep, beep -

And there we go. Wiseblood gets to mention his pet topic of "negativity" again. Remember the lube Wise. -
Would rather see Lynch be paid outside the cap to stay on the G.C, than see him run out with Colonwood next year. Everything about the game now is about T.V and the money that comes with it. It's bad business to see a side smashed every week. Advertisers don't want to spend money when nobody is watching. It's also why the AFL installed professional management for us, including Jacko. We were on deaths door, but it would have meant one less T.V game every week if we folded. If that means they pay Lynch to stay on the coast, I'm fine with that. I would spew if he ran out with Eddies mob, or essedon.

I rest my case
