  1. On Thursday 18 January 2007 the Tiwi Islanders extracted their revenge on Southern Districts when they beat them by 19 points 11.8.74 to 8.7.55 in a challenge match.

    Goalkickers:

Tiwi Islands: E Tipungwuti 4 Munkara A Tipungwuti 2 Orsto Pilakui Tangatalum

Southern Districts: Ah Mat Archibald Wedding 2 Parker Walker

  2. Thanks D2 for that piece of wisdom.

Our training (i.e. weights room etc) and administration facilities would be in the new stadium, except for the training oval which would be shared with Collingwood

All very confusing though. Shouldn't the club make some announcement as to where it stands in all of this? After all, there's been some sort of fundraising started on the basis that we were supposed to have these faciltiies in place by our 150th year in 2008.
  3. I'm in the mood for the footy again so I've put together my team for this year's opening NAB Cup game.

Going on the Reverend’s statements that the club would be giving youth a chance I've decided to leave out most of the club's more experienced players as well as a few under injury clouds or limited pre seasons (e.g. Bartram, Bruce, Green, Johnstone, Neitz, Robertson, Sylvia, Ward, Whelan, White and Yze), made a few positional changes and brought in some kids.

    Now, here’s my team:-

    B Bell Carroll Warnock

    HB C Johnson Rivers Buckley

    C Brown McLean Dunn

    HF Bizzell Miller Bate

    F P Johnson Newton Jones

    Foll Jamar McDonald © Moloney

I/C Davey Ferguson Frawley Holland Neaves Wheatley *

    * specialist 9 point kicker

As indicated by someone on another thread Hawthorn are going to be desperate and likely to pick their strongest side.

I like the idea of trying Dunn on a wing but I'm not so sure about Doggy on the other wing. I suppose he's been doing his pre season in the midfield so that's the reasoning.
  4. "I'm sure we could get together a crew for it."

    Sorry, hards...

    february is impossible for me...

time for somebody else to step up to organise support numbers ??

do you want me to email the usual suspects ??

Who's coaching the Blues - Smorgon or Laurraine Diggins?
  5. NEALE DANIHER'S COACHING REVIEW

"One of the big positives along with the dominance at the MCG must also have been the emergence of youth?

Encouraging signs came from the likes of Clint Bartram, Matthew Bate, Lynden Dunn, Matthew Warnock and Nathan Jones. What was most impressive was that we made progress even with introducing these new faces - sometimes when you do that you don’t move forward - but they got a taste of it, and that’s vital.

Unfortunately, we missed Brent Moloney. But we got a lot from Brock McLean and Colin Sylvia, all young players who absorbed a lot of pressure."

Too true - especially the bit about Beamer who I'm told has been looking extra special at pre-season training.
