Clock counting up and Brian effing Taylor won't shut up about it. Gold Coast are slick. They need to trade for a KPF and they will be very handy.
-
Bwahahaha we just keep getting worse.....
-
Very good candidate but prefer experience this time around.
-
He's a lunatic but he gets the best out of his players. Port never had the best list but managed to pinch a flag because his players played for him.
-
We absolutely must sign all of frawley, watts, sylvia. If we cant then we trade this year abd go hard ball. We also need commitment from guys coming out of contract next year. A new coach IS required. A leader of men, a coach that has the ability to get the respect of the players so they play for him and each other, someone that can nurture talent. I like Williams out of the available experienced coaches... Though anyone is available given the right contract and circumstances so we should talking to who we want not just those that are available. If neeld stays players walk and there is zero chance of a FA coming to Melbourne so then we are significantly worse off than now.

Good on him. They will be contenders and we will still be a joke.

Credit where it's due, I did remember your thread!

I cannot imagine any club paying him more than he would get at the Dees. He could almost name his price and contract terms if he has a solid year.

From the web: Ron Gauci was appointed Chief Executive Office for the Melbourne Storm Rugby League Club in the NRL at the end of July 2010 three months after the salary scandal engulfed the club. Gauci has held senior management and executive positions in some of the world’s largest multinational and domestic organisations including Microsoft, Telstra, IBM, and most recently Verizon Business as Vice President Aust/NZ. Gauci is also a former Director on the Board of the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA), a former member of the International CEO Forum and held a position on the Board of Governors for the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM). Gauci has spent the past two decades as a “fix it” businessman taking on some of the most difficult challenges. He has been described as an inspiring leader as well as the “go to” man when handling complex issues. He has a reputation for quickly ascertaining impediments to success and a knack for realising the full potential of an organisation and its people. Since arriving at Melbourne Storm, he has been involved in the restoration of the club’s brand, the transformation of its commercial business and the management of a professional and well governed organisation. From the devastating events of 2010, the club has gone on to post significant success in its off field operations and on field performances including securing the Minor Premiership and Club Championship in 2011 and most recently success as NRL Premiers in 2012. Yeah the Storm are a great team and that's a lesser issue but I think this bloke could definitely bring his skills and help us along if PJ doesn't stick around.

With the storm being sold today and the management restructure that has followed, Ron Gauci has been flicked as CEO in favour of one of the new owners merry men. I reckon he would be a really good appointment if Peter Jackson does not continue after his 6 month contract. He went to the storm post the kaka hitting the fan and from what I see the club is running like a well oiled machine.

Col will do what is in his best interests. He's always done as he pleases and never actually pushed himself through his career, if he had he'd have won a few blueys and probably be captain of the club. If he goes he will get a lesser contract in terms of years and cash IMO. I want him to stay but I don't hold much hope of it. Better go get a sleeve tatt Col......

Sounds like Jack Watts is headed to the backline.. Again
Deemotivated replied to a topic in Melbourne Demons
Id like a few dollars on him kicking 50 odd goals for another club if we stupidly trade him. Using him as a backman is a waste of time and is robbing Peter to pay Paul. Wing or Fwd for mine. -
5 Years Says Neeld - Who is going to cop that?
Deemotivated replied to Mongrel Dee's topic in Melbourne Demons
Agreed. Malthouse or Roos may have inherited a B grade list but I believe either coach would have shown the senior players more respect and got them on side and re contracted. They would also make Melbourne an attractive option for potential FA players or guys looking to "come home". -
He's a loyal kid. I'd be really surprised if he didn't repay the faith port have shown in him.
-
Disappointing that Neeld inferred in his press conference that Watts would play back if selected. He's a bloody forward Mark!!!
-
We stand off the opposition and wait for them to grab the ball. Also did you see how many uncontested possessions they had just moving it around at will? I counted 20 possessions in 1 play where the tigers just chipped around uncontested.
-
Clark, Sylvia, Viney, Watts and that game turns out a little different. Magner was great. I loved Dawes game but he stops and waits for the ball in the last couple of steps on his lead... Needs to address that. It could have got really ugly today but we fought... Even with nicho, Mckenzie, sellar butchering everything they touched we pushed them for 3 quarters.
-
Nicholson would be a good ammos player... Oh wait...
-
Anyone got mckenzies address?? I'm going to knee cap the weak unskilled [censored]!!
-
Any chance we could man up?
-
Cotchin is a protected species

Not from us...
-
We needed that last goal against like a smack in the balls... Grrrrr
-
Haha it's a Dane Cook skit mate.

Rather that kick than a hanger anyway Howey!!
