After last night, you can't help thinking that Adelaide tanked to lose to West Coast and keep us out of the Finals. They could see that our key players were about to return from injury and knew that we were one on the few teams that had their measure.

I would rather see the season open with a Dees vs Tigers blockbuster (and retain the QB match against the Pies)!

Our Development League (Casey) Demons team won a Premiership last weekend and nothing on the Club website! Not nearly good enough! ?

I have said it before in other threads that we should keep Trengove as a Demon. Not as a mature age rookie as suggested but off our AFL list (and outside our salary cap) as a part of our Casey team where he has shown that he has lots to offer. Hopefully players graduating from our Casey Development League Premiership side can show the senior VFL and AFL sides that a Demon Premiership is possible in our lifetime and Trenners can be an integral part of that! ?

Let's hope that he remains a Demon and part of the leadership group at Casey. Surely we can retain him as part of the Demon family, albeit not on our AFL list or within our salary cap? He has a lot to offer the Casey Demons and I am sure that both his Casey and Melbourne teammates would love him to still be around when we achieve success!

I don't know why Casey couldn't draft him as he is regularly one of the best each week at VFL level? If he could continue to play for the Casey Demons, off our list and salary cap, then hopefully he might participate in a Demon Premiership after all! Love to see him hold a Demon Premiership cup aloft and, at VFL level he is an out and out champ and no passenger! ?

The absence of Brayshaw for the last three quarters hurt us badly!

I am afraid that I have got Carlton, Collingwood, the Bombers and Hawks all ahead of the Tigers. Rather see the Cats win tomorrow evening even if it means watching the Tigers two weeks running.

No "Mad Monday" entitlement for our lads! ? What our "best 22" should be doing is all driving down to Casey Fields to add their support to the VFL Demons in their Finals Campaign. Whereas most of our coveted "best 22" are ineligible to play VFL, surely there is nothing impeding Lewis, Jetta, T. Mac, Jones etc participating in training drills to ensure that our VFL 'Demons' team is the best prepared going into this year's Final Series. Hopefully this support will ensure that they don't fall at the final hurdle as we did last year. Go (Casey) Dees!

If St Kilda repeat their dominance against the Tigers they will either consign us to ninth or if they scrape home they might ensure we play an elimination final against Richmond at the "G" (with us playing away same as yesterday)! I am unsure which will be more embarrassing? ☹️

I have supported Melbourne since back in the (pre-1965) Glory Days and I must say I enjoyed tuning in to Nasher and the Administrators last night. Some good irreverent banter from callers and some cautious optimism from all. Not quite sure exactly what Puntkick has ever contributed to Demonland since joining as a 'life member' however I suspect my autocorrect was on the money when it changed his name to Dropkick! ?

We possibly don't need Garland if we retain Frost and get Lever. My suggestion was that we retain him 'off the MFC books' and let him continue the role that he has been playing at the Casey Demons!
