  1. If you look at the rule above and also the list of the persons under scrutiny you will not that neither Connolly of Schwab fall within the definition of the rule. If neither Schwab nor Connolly are in breach of the rules, I suggest that the AFL would be hard-pressed to mount a successful case against Bailey alone particular when he has not been with the MFC since mid 2011 and we actually sacked him for losing which is the very thing that he is alleged to have been guilty of! I don't think that anybody presently at Melbourne has any case to answer under the above rule unless they want to make Josh Mahoney (Football Manager) a scapegoat on the basis that he had a coaching role back then.
  2. I gather that you have forgotten about Sean Wight?
  3. Well reported lads! Have a great Christmas everybody!

  5. There is only one place to live in Melbourne and that is 3002 (East Melbourne). It is a 5 minute walk to the "G" to watch the mighty Dees and a 10 minute walk to Gosch's Paddock if you are a die-hard. Also, the Hoddle Street bus takes you straight to the Alfred!
  6. The grim reality is that playing the same teams* this year as 2009, we only won a quarter the games (i.e. one (Essendon) against four in 2009). The question for the AFL is in what year did we tank? * GWS and the Suns weren't playing in 2009 and they accounted for 3/4 of our wins this year. We also were ahead of Richmond at the final siren in 2009 so I guess them scorung a goal after the siren is proof that they were conspiring to help us tank!
  7. I agree. Why would we negotiate 2 first round picks? I say give Bailey 12 months, Connolly 6 months (because of his ill-advised comments), Schwab 2 months and maybe, just maybe, a first round pick (which hopefully won't be anywhere as low next year)!
  8. If they ask us then we should say that we would be happy with Bailey getting 12 months suspension and the others two months each.
  9. I thought Neeld mentioned that the announcement would be as late as the NAB Cup!
  10. Welcome to the team Rohan Welsh!
  11. Thanks for the update guys (and for your honest appraisals)!
  12. The new website looks good. They have photos of all our primary list (including Gillies) actually wearing club jumpers and their new numbers. There is also more bio information on the players which is good. Only thing outstanding is our two new rookies but I am sure that will be there before they go on Christmas holidays.
  13. The membership cards stickers should have arrived last week (mine did). In fact I received two mailouts from the MFC (the mag and the membership pack), which I thought was a bit strange when they could of either combined them to save money or have sent them out a few weeks apart (and have the full ist in them).
  14. Don't get me wrong, I have been following the excellent coverage MFC 'news archive' of the boys in Darwin and it has been very well reported by the Club. I know that some Demonlanders are being defensive of the Club's efforts however rather than 'shooting the messenger' as you are keen to do possibly look at in from the view of constructive comments to improve the website even more. It was just a simple observation as to why Tom Gillies isn't listed as a player 5 weeks after being recruited and I would have 'dropped the Club a note' rather than posting it on Demonland if the MFC site contained email addresses for members to contact them!
  15. Obviously neither you nor the MFC. That's two!
  16. It's 10 ten days since Oucher suggested that the Club might update the list when they draft their rookies last week, yet Tom Gillies (recruited 13 November 2012) is till not listed as a player some five weeks after being recruited onto our senior list!
  17. Nobody mentions Watts though plenty of posts seem to admire that way his play is progressing. Is he not regarded by the other players as a leader?
  18. I cannot believe how everybody puts Collingwood into the top four. i don't think that they are guaranteed.
  19. Listen to Sylvia's interview on the MFC website. I am happy with Sylvia (and also regret losing Rivers and Moloney, who is really hitting his straps in the Lion's pre-season).
  20. I actually meant to say seventh spot (ahead of Freo).
  21. Whislt I like the concept of finishing ahead of Richmond, I will be disappointed if Carlton makes it into the top 8. Personally I would accept a final list like this on the proviso that we swap positions with Carlton and take their eight spot.
  22. The best song of the year!
  23. Maybe we can trade Hannath back next trading season? It's a shame that we have already traded our inspired No. 4 pick Cale Morton to West Coast.
  24. A positive article from our point of view. If Craig is installing the same work ehtic into the Dempn list as he did with the Crows, then we are destined to show a marked rise with our re-shaped list. I am sure that Misson, Neeld and Craig are all on the same page! In particular, I cannot see us losing a (home) match in Darwin ever again after this training camp!
  25. The above score shows that we outscored them in the second quarter (due to their inaccuracy) and demolished them in the last quarter (by scoring 6.6 to 4.3)! At least it is a game where we finished well and came back at them!
