Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Laughable that the Crows want two first rounders for this guy. Now Im not judging him on his grand final performance, the kid is 21 after all and the Crows were garbage. But the fact is he is a 3rd defender whos strength is intercept marking and spoiling. He hasn't shown he can play 1 on 1 or lock down a key forward. Pick 10, take it or leave it. Though pick 27 is fairer, is this kid better than Hibberd?

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
The sad thing is we will pay top dollar, then the Crows will easily find a replacement for him and not miss a beat. I wouldn't be against keeping pick 10 and forgetting Lever... groom Joel SMith for that role.

We are absolutely paying overs. But sometimes you have to to get what you want.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Way too much. If true, we should look elsewhere.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
That's ambitious WB. He'd be worth about what we paid for Hibberd and Melksham.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
God i hope we get him, he is the general down back. Such a great footy brain.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Depends what picks they were. I wouldnt trade him for 9 picks outside the top 10. (Assuming in this insane hypothetical we have to use the picks and can't trade them). Oliver is a special player. A taller, bigger, red haired Greg Williams.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
We might have a winner here. Pick 10 + 2018 1st rounder for Jake Lever and Jordan Gallucci Gallucci would be a nice addition, he has something we need in the midfield - lightning speed and a willingness to take the game on.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Thats too much. You dont give up two nice assets for Lever. Thats 2nd rounder has value.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
They will pretend to expect it. They know full well they wont get it. Pick 10 is the main asset they will get.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Hes tracking beautifully. If he played for another team you and everyone else (yes including me), would be begging for the MFC to go hard at him. 19 disposals per game and 26 goals on the season in effectively his 2nd season. Compare his numbers at the same age to any of the big bodied superstar mids, and he either stacks up or easily has them covered. And none of them missed their first season with an ACL like Trac. If we dont pay him big $, there are 17 other teams that will.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
He has little to no trade value.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Anyone think we can realistically get both Lever and Gaff this trade period?

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Might be imagining things, but I seem to recall you having good mail in the past as well, Roost. Someone tell me I'm right.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Keep up the contributions, Kurt. I remember you being all over Brendan McCartney to the MFC before anyone else. Its obvious you have a solid source, we need people like you on here more than we need oxygen.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
Slowly getting over the devastation of missing the finals by a whisker. I want to give a shout out to Jake Melksham, who was magnificent for the Dees , especially once Goody moved him to a new role half way through the season. He kicked at least one goal in his last 12 matches, a streak he will take into next season. He kicked 21 goals from the last 12 games. He kicked some clutch goals at crucial stages. He makes it look easy kicking goals from outside 50. A powerful kick of the footy. And while the goals were raining down, he was also shutting down his direct opponent more often than not. There was a lot of angst when we gave up a 2nd rounder for him , especially after he was rubbed out for a season, but he showed he was worth it. If he can continue to excel in his new role it will be huge for the team .

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BALIC
Id rather let Jason Taylor use the pick and find one of his smokeys. Balic will give us nothing.
