Run home to Finals - 2018
I see nothing wrong with 'limping into the 8'. If we make it there we will have earned it, thats no different to any other team. We haven't made the finals for 12 years. It would be a relief to get there no matter how we do it. Youve got to be in it to win it. Anything can happen on the finals stage.

Lever, Treloar, Dunn , Patton, Rioli.... Season ending injuries (and one retirement) to gun players from teams in the thick of the finals race. Would be nice if Geelong lost one.

Delisting, Trade and FA discussion 2018
Just looking at the list of Unrestricted free agents. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2018-03-22/official-afl-releases-list-of-2018-free-agents Luke Dahlhaus is the obvious standout there for our needs and age profile. Surely we are into him.

Pick 7 and 8 to the Crows.

C'MON MAXY
Amazing game he had. Almost willed us over the line. Hes become a true leader.

Darwin game dumped
Big fail from PJ unfortunately. If we really had to play two games in the NT to make money, then both should have been in Alice Springs. Darwin tropical conditions will end our season.. if not the actual game vs Freo, the game after against the Dogs.

Run home to Finals - 2018
If we are lucky will need to win 'only' 5 of the last 8 to make it, as long as we keep our healthy %. Its highly possible however that we will need to win 6 of 8.. Basically its yet another time in this clubs history where they need to make a stand. Will they ever stand up and deliver?

Delisting, Trade and FA discussion 2018
Any gun key position defenders we can poach? It looks like slim pickings. This team desperately needs one.... could we sign Adelaides McGovern and turn him into a KPD?

And we play in Darwin the week before. If we do not get selection 100% right vs the Dogs, including fresh legs and some speed (Baker? Kent?), they will roll us.

Jordan De Goey
Just signed a 2 year extension with Collingwood. Bad luck North. Or perhaps good luck as their reported offer was ridiculous.

Andrew Gaff
What I am more interested in is that we will be likely signing someone good, if the article from a month go is true and we have cash to spend on an established player. If not Gaff, it will be another player. Nice to be a destination club.

Yeah lets pass on the All Australian and Best and Fairest winner whos played in a Grand Final and instead cross our fingers that Stretch or Balic become really, really good.

Welcome to Demonland Toby Bedford
How does that work? Is it like the Swans academy picks where they spend points to move up in the draft if someone bids on their player? #3 Toby Bedford (Dandenong Stingrays) Starting the game inside 50 as a small forward, Bedford showed some fancy footwork on occasions but struggled to get into the game in the first half. Although late in the third quarter he was moved up the ground to the stoppages and created a real spark. He won a couple of hard balls in traffic and released each to advantage, before his defensive efforts were rewarded with a holding the ball free kick. He broke from a centre bounce in the final term and almost set up a goal with a long kick inside 50. https://www.afldraftcentral.com.au/tag/toby-bedford/ Sounds like Charlie Spargo, similar height too.

New CEO - Gary Pert
Actually I became a fan of Caro during the Essendon drug saga. She tore shreds off the cheats while the Herald Sun did everything they could to protect them.

New CEO - Gary Pert
LOL She would be praising him if he went to Richmond.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARRISON PETTY
Couldn't have said it better. No wonder you call yourself hemingway.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARRISON PETTY
Awesome news. Has the football nous and ability to cover for Lever... in fact hes a perfect replacement for that role. No pressure though, hes a kid playing his first game. Good luck Harrison.

Petracca in a rut?
I didn't make anything up, I was simply saying he may not be professional enough to stick to a strict athletes diet. This is the same player who broke his toe dunking a basketball while rehabbing from his ACL, leaving Paul Roos to tear shreds off him. https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/christian-petracca-injury-how-melbourne-youngster-broke-toe-dunking-basketball/news-story/7d1d92330bc847943dbcb9ab8bbf4c66

Run home to Finals - 2018
Win the next 3 like we should and we will have a full head of steam going into the Geelong game. Beating them down there would be a big scalp and give us 4 wins on the trot heading into the final turn.... but for now, one week at a time. ?
-
Petracca in a rut?
Probably is a problem to be honest. Trac doesnt seem like the kind of guy that would stick to a professional diet.

THE 2018 AFL NATIONAL DRAFT
Or we could keep pick 31 and let Jason Taylor weave his magic. Look what pick 31 got us last draft.
-
Petracca in a rut?
No point dropping Trac. We need our best talent on the park over the next three weeks vs three average teams. Must win all 3 or its goodbye finals.

Run home to Finals - 2018
Finally one of our rivals lose a star player for the season. Evens things up for the loss of Lever. Hopefully the Pies fall apart now.
