  1. Awesome news. Has the football nous and ability to cover for Lever... in fact hes a perfect replacement for that role. No pressure though, hes a kid playing his first game. Good luck Harrison.
  2. I didn't make anything up, I was simply saying he may not be professional enough to stick to a strict athletes diet. This is the same player who broke his toe dunking a basketball while rehabbing from his ACL, leaving Paul Roos to tear shreds off him. https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/christian-petracca-injury-how-melbourne-youngster-broke-toe-dunking-basketball/news-story/7d1d92330bc847943dbcb9ab8bbf4c66
  3. Win the next 3 like we should and we will have a full head of steam going into the Geelong game. Beating them down there would be a big scalp and give us 4 wins on the trot heading into the final turn.... but for now, one week at a time. ?
  4. Probably is a problem to be honest. Trac doesnt seem like the kind of guy that would stick to a professional diet.
  5. Or we could keep pick 31 and let Jason Taylor weave his magic. Look what pick 31 got us last draft.
  6. No point dropping Trac. We need our best talent on the park over the next three weeks vs three average teams. Must win all 3 or its goodbye finals.
  7. Finally one of our rivals lose a star player for the season. Evens things up for the loss of Lever. Hopefully the Pies fall apart now.
  8. We haven't been to the finals in 11 years, and anything can happen once we get in there. And it will give our players finals experience. And we can easily beat any of those teams btw. Cant believe any Demon supporter would not care if we made the finals or not.. mind blowing. Why go through a decade of hell and then scoff at making the finals just cos you think we may lose in an Elimination Final.
  9. We are now in the 8 only on %. We are just half a game from 10th spot. The last 11 seasons have prepared the fans for these last 9 games.. its going to be scary.
  10. Spot on. This needs to happen. One or the other, not both. Its almost a third of the way through the season and their old bodies are tiring. Lewis looked like he was running in cement.
  11. That would be a monumental disaster. Would make last seasons Round 23 look like small potatoes If we won the next 3 we would be 11-5 with a % over 130. Only the Demons could miss the finals from there. Assuming we win the next 3 and are in a great position, we then have Geelong at Geelong. Thats the one we want. We need a scalp.
  12. Well we choked vs decent opposition the last two games, and now we go back to playing some teams out of the 8. vs St.Kilda at the MCG vs Fremantle in Darwin vs Western Bulldogs at the MCG Must win all three. If we drop one of these games we will find it very hard to make the finals with a very tough run home.
  13. Changed my username after last weeks game as I was sick of Petracca and his lack of effort combined with his general softness. Unfortunately the mods changed it back. The laziest player in the comp who fumbles every ball, drops easy marks and generally looks disinterested. No sense of urgency. Thinks hes a superstar when in reality he should be at Casey.
  14. Mitch McGovern from Adelaide. One of the best contested marks in the comp, still only 23. If we added him to Gawn, Hogan, T Mac, Fritsch and Lever.. our marking power would be absurd.
  15. Then find a new location. Or perhaps we could replicate the dimensions to a smaller ratio of the MCG, like they did with Optus Stadium in Perth.
  16. Addng to that, if the oval cant be made to the exact dimensions of the MCG its not even worth doing the project or training there.
  17. Hopefully theres enough room to make the ground the EXACT size of the MCG. Not an inch more or less.
  18. Why cant we just train on the MCG? We are the original tenant. We started playing there in the 1800's for gods sake.
  19. Is it too late to move this seasons Darwin game to the G? Actually nevermind, Freo might beat us there again like last season.
  20. Hes a great player and we need someone of his age profile (28) with Lewis , Vince and to a lesser extent, Pedersen, almost done. We will lose a ton of experience soon. I think getting his sister is a sign hes already committed to us. It seems to obvious but with the talk that we have the cash to lure another big fish, the planets are aligning. Maybe the best news breaker in the business, @Ethan Tremblay knows more.
  21. Lloyd does a weekly team but he was away for some reason, so Cornes took over and did a midyear AA team.
  22. Kane Cornes midseason AA team. Three Demons including two of the starting forwards. Oliver stiff, and Jetta should be back pocket instead of Whitfield.
  23. Feeling a lot better about our last 10 games now that Adelaide are garbage. If we knock Port off this Friday at Adelaide Oval it will be a nice warmup for the Crows game at the same ground. If we win at least 1 of the 2 Adelaide Oval games we will play finals.
  24. What replied to McQueen's topic in Melbourne Demons
I don't think he will be as expensive as some have suggested, so the money/salary cap wont be a problem. Hes not a superstar but hes a polished B+ midfielder, and would be a very sweet icing on our midfield cake. If he wants to come to the MFC and we want him, hes ours.
  25. They have both Richmond and West Coast finishing 19-3. Not gonna happen.
