This was awesome. Just shows how robotic the current generation of AFL players are and how much more entertaining it was in the 80s and 90s. Today a player like Bob Murphy is considered a personality. Sad really.

Just those two words 'big fish' remind me of the thread on the Drafting and trading board last season when we had supposedly landed one... all the excitement around Luke Parker possibly coming to the MFC. T Mac was our only KPD that game, and we shut down Lynch and Wright. (Think Garland had the job on Wright from memory) This week we might have three KPD's against them.

That empty spot needs to be a 190cm or so defender, as the three smaller guys have the smaller opponents covered. Wagner is the obvious choice.

True but I hope we do get him. Not many half backs average as many touches as he does. We need experience and some proven players... we will likely cut Grimes, Dawes and maybe even Dunn. So while none are losses ability wise, they have played a lot of footy and been in the system a long time. Melksham and Hibberd (if he comes) will be important players for us.

Hulett looks to have some tricks too, along with an AFL ready body. Get him in for Dawes.

As others have said, Cook was a reach at pick 12. Nobody expected him to go there. I remember that draft well, although I wish I didn't. It was a questionable call at the time, no surprise it didnt work out. But hey at least it wasnt his worst effort, Cale Morton at pick 4 will never be topped.

JKH did make it in the bests, Salem didnt. He kicked a goal though.

Probably, hes a light KPP who just turned 19. He had a great start to the year,. Wasnt he leading the VFL goalkicking after the first 5 or 6 rounds? He was up there anyway
