Is Harrison Petty 'ready made'to play AFL footy? Would love to see him force his way into the team this season. I have no doubt he will end up a great player, he has all the tools to be a superb KPD.

Who is your nomination/nominations ? AlexNeal Bullen for me, and James Harmes will be right there alongside him.

And what about the property deal where he and Dodoro pocketed 15 mil between them off land that their mate Justin Madden rezoned? How convenient. -
Jack Viney will Return to the Track in January.

Agreed with the first paragraph, the second was classic PF hyperbole. He definitely came back early from the injury. Whether a couple of extra weeks of would have helped, who knows. We just have to hope the issue doesn't linger. -
He would have continued going through the motions at Melbourne. Not pushing himself and coasting. What he does at Port is irrelevant to us.

Could it be that - shock horror - the best people are being hired for the job? Or do you want us to be like America with the abomination that is affirmative action, where people aren't employed on merit? -

Of course they have, when did I say otherwise? Congrats, you just got offended over nothing. -

I'll wait for more information, especially in the current climate of the '#metoo' movement where unproven or flat out false allegations have ruined the lives of many men. -
Will be such a great test for us... thats some serious firepower... I'm not sure Abletts body will hold up all season but you can be sure he will be primed for Round 1.

Probably the crew that is obsessed with the NBA - they want so much to be like those wankers over in the U.S that they think they can run the club.

There was a time in the mid-1990s when a section of the Melbourne Football Club changerooms at Junction Oval was known as Hollywood Boulevard. For this is where the team’s self-appointed stars — captain Garry Lyon, Jim Stynes, Todd Viney, Glenn Lovett and one or two others – had their lockers, changed their jockstraps and exchanged their blokey jokes. In that era, when Neil Balme was coach and Cameron Schwab the football manager (and later CEO), the team was divided along neat lines: the Hollywood set and the rest. Culture.

I wish that we could say thats the case, but its not the first time its happened at this club. We had a similar thing happen when Dean Bailey was fired. It was another group of players thinking they were bigger then the club. Must be a culture thing. Been happening since at least the early 1990's.maybe even earlier.

These 14 clowns should be named and shamed. As members we have the right to know who this clique is that think they are bigger than the club.

The guys are also welcome to not play footy at all and to find another job that isnt physically demanding with a huge toll on the body. Nobody is holding a gun to their head.
-
He will.,. In round 1. Will be too good to keep out of the team..

The AFLPA are cancerous and are hurting the game. Players are softer than ever before which doesn't help.

Oscar is underrated. Doesn't deserve most of the flak he cops on here. Of course he has some areas to improve, hes a 21 year old key back after all. The Big O is coming along nicely.

Sam Weideman, who was not even close to being ready for senior footy, was played at the start of last season instead of a more deserving Pedersen, who finally came into the team and gave us a huge lift. Hopefully Goody is serious about playing the best team on merit, cos he didn't at the start of last season (and at other stages as Vogon stated) and it cost us a finals spot.

What is Salems position? Half back? Midfielder? Defensive half forward? Thats the biggest problem so far for Salem, his best role is still a mystery and needs to settle into one, a la Melksham when he moved forward.

More worried about his thyroid condition than any possible injuries.

Big words from one of the softest players of the modern era. -
Confirmation at last. He was a revelation when moved forward.. who can forget his epic 5 goals and the match winner vs the Eagles in Perth. With his tank, one of the best in the game, he is a matchup nightmare for his opponents. So glad he is moving him forward permanently!
-
If only footy was that straight forward. We can easily miss the finals. We are Melbourne after all.

The numbers show how good he is already 19 disposals per game, 15 goals in 19 games 1st in Goal Assists per game 4th in inside 50's per game 4th in tackles per game 8th in clearances per game 7th in score involvements per game
