Looks like the fire burnt itself out rather quickly
-
Hope so It's been rather lukewarm so far
-
Casey were worse
-
What has happened to our AA midfield
-
Come on Dees we're supposed to be a top 4 team
-
but who is the coach if the match day co-ordinator has minimal input into game plan and selection. The reality is that the result does not matter nearly as much as the individual output. Southport for example is a strong team in this competition but few if any of its players have a chance at making an AFL team
-
Definitely It did none of them any good... and add in Fullarton
-
Considering the number of AFL listed players we had that wasn't a great performance. Some cameos but... McAdam showed ability but in a perfect world I'd like to see a full game
-
And that's it Skill session needed. So many turnovers
-
Another rubbish kick into our forward 50
-
I think they also park the tractor in there
-
Not sure why in the scheme of things we're playing bbb
-
It is hard to find a stand out. Game by Casey is either chip it around or play through congestion often with a turnover. Very few periods of open play
-
They're playing the Hawks gameplan... keep on chipping it around until you turn it over
-
How bad can they be
-
We get the ball at the centre bounce and then hand pass to a running Tiger who connects for a shot on goal Terrible
-
Skill levels not that great by Casey
-
Yes that was bad but also lots of up and under high kicks
-
Not the greatest delivery inside 50
-
Have we got it to the 50 yet let alone inside it
-
and GWS... we have all of them plus Collingwood in the next seven weeks (not to mention Freo and the Saints) It will be season defining if we can go 5-2 or better
-
Don't disagree but the logical conclusion of your proposition is scrap the VFL and replace it with closed door scratch matches. That works fine for Melbourne teams but one of the reasons we have the present dysfunctional competition is that we admitted interstate clubs who were complaining that their local competition standard was inadequate
-
The clubs have a big say in VFL structure. I think it's time the AFL came clean on what if any vision they have for the competition. The reality is that as a competition it's dying. That in itself may be no problem. Several years ago I posted that it was not necessarily in the interests of the competition to increase crowd numbers as that would require new toilets, staffing etc. The byes have also dramatically impacted any form of competitive integrity

He will if he can't get a game. It is the way of things
-
It strikes me as a square peg in a round hole move. We need a 40 goal plus forward which BBB can be. Would have preferred this move to be trialled at Casey for a few weeks. If Oliver is at full strength I can't see much sense in Laurie's inclusion. Unfortunately he may well go the way of Jordon and Bedford at season's end
