  1. For me it would be the following:

Garlett: Knows where the goals are

Watts: Potential will transfer into elite

Viney: Needs to step up after a few years in the system

Lumumba: Forget the royalty stuff and show us on the field and....

Fitzpatrick: An important forward line cog if he can get attitude right. Worth a few goals a game

  2. The comp is uneven, the only way for MFC to get on the better side of the equality debate - is to win games.

IMO the past couple of years at the draft table have basically saved this football club.

I think in a couple years MFC will be pushing for the 4. And the AFL can suck it.

If there's one thing that's clear as day - that is, that Roos and PJ are committed to building this club on solid and sustainable foundations.

Everything they have done to date confirms/reaffirms that in spades.

Yes they are! Very rare in our history since 1964 that we have had one, let alone 2 committed individuals in charge of the club. With PJ he has built the foundations for a stronger club into the future with no squabbling at board level... with Roos he is building a culture and ethic within the team that will also hold us in good stead. If this was 10 years ago we would be now living the glory but it is now and we have to wait a little longer! Be patient, we will rise!

And I would just like to beat Hawks and Kangas for once!

  3. Hello people. I know I'm getting in early but I'm going away (I will be back!). I'd like to sincerely wish all of my fellow Demonlanders a very Merry Xmas and a happy and successful (GO DEES!) 2015. We are all part of one big family. So whatever you wish for, I hope that your wish is granted (although a premiership in 2015 may be stretching it just a little!). Cheers and best wishes

  4. Let me get this straight Clit. A typical night in the Cli t household. You slog down a couple of bottles of expensive red (via the medium of a reidel glass of course) while your dutiful missus lolls about (in dreamy expectation) in a tie. I'm guessing the the only interruption to this blissful domestic tableau is the the phone calls from your golf partner, or customers, or mates, who give you valuable insights to the inner working of the MFC.

You must be watching us with a telescope! Have just closed the curtains. Yes I'm back. the tagliatelle is not quite al dente!

  5. I agree entirely.

I alternate these art films with the occasional doco on drugs or depravity.

    One must maintain a hobby.

Too much interest in wine alone, or bananas, makes one dull.

I rarely drink wine alone. I always have the wife sitting in front of me with her tie

  6. Oh I don't normally... I understand your inference but it was something I literally tripped over on the way to the Hermitage and it seemed inoffensive enough. ( that and the bank balance was....well that time of month!! )

Were you sober? Did you mistake Priceline's mouth cleanser/ bath aisle for nice bubbly?

  7. A little French Grand Cuvee, 'methode traditionale' from Limoux is whetting the whistle whilst dinner cooks. Might move to a noice Merlot later .....such is life :)

A little too refined for me BB. Only sparkling reds for me!

wish that train still ran ...lol :)

    There is always the wagon!

  8. Then your (just inserted that illiteracy as a Christmas gift to you Fl og) not drinking enough Clit!

Maybe I'm too well seasoned or just careful! Only time I have ever broken a glass is when I washed it... I knew of course that I should have put fabric softener into the washing machine!

  9. I'm slurping a shiraz/viognier atm Clit. A little bit of tannin and a little bit peppery. Not bad. Although I can't quite fill two schooners from the bottle.

Fill 2 schooners??? Never thought you would stoop so low, although slurping is the key word there! What is the matter with a lovely Riedel wine glass?
