  1. Jane is saving her punishment until after the game:
  2. You will just have to stay off DL for a few days to avoid them But we won't lose!
  3. Go easy WCW, my Pies supporting sister (and her Dees supporting husband) spawned two Pies supporters who have produced 3 more Pies fans. (Can't bring myself to call them 'Filth' especially the little ones...more like heavenly cherubs). However, her first born child is a passionate Dees fan!❤️💙
  4. Well, lets remind them of what the 'colliwobbles' feel like!😄
  5. Sorry, the best feathers are in a doona! There was a cockateil I liked once. Some friends brought him to a holiday lodge. He sneakily landed on my shoulder out of nowhere. I was too frozen to move. Then he started chirping in my ear, nibbling at my necklace and chuckled. Me, still frozen. I think he made his mission to rid me of my fear. He did win me over somewhat as I liked his boldness and cheekiness. But his winning ways didn't extend to any of his brethren or associated kin. Hard not to like him just a little...his name was Max❤️💙
  6. No, they looked very nasty and threatening!
  7. I have a great fear of anything with feathers (sorry @WalkingCivilWar) so I would never get close enough to do them any sort of harm...not that I would want to. Haha, a break from the internet, eh? No chance we are all addicted to DL!
  8. Bad Omen: Yesterday a flock of very large magpies arrived in my front garden. First 2 then 3 then 6!!! Haven't seen a single magpie in the street since moving here 6 months ago so where the heck did they come from!!!! And why now!!! Last week's confidence sapped. Good Omen: Confidence returned last night with Elliot out. In recent years we have only beaten them when he hasn't played. Sticking with Dees by a heart-stopping 9 points. Can't wait to get to the G!!
  9. Lipinski is said to be playing - his first game this year at any level so very much lacking match practice. Mc Stay also said to be playing - hasn't played for two months. They may not miss this game but that is 8 players that will be missing or not in tip top shape. It will be seriously depleted of talent, experience and form. All this must affect their system and fast ball movement. There should be lots of turnovers by them. And too much will be left to too few.
  10. LOl! They are a guessing game at the best of times!! The bookies might be a bit more interested but who cares about them...
  11. I'm guessing Coll applied for an extension given the illness at the club. Not much point listing the team on a Friday or Saturday if there are lots of changes come Sunday/Monday. Other than supporter interest it probably doesn't matter much when teams are published.
  12. If it is cellulitis which is related to staph, it can quickly become septic. From there it is very dangerous if not brought under control quickly. Hopefully it has been and the extended hospital stay is for monitoring and being extra cautious.
  13. Show them no mercy!
  14. That was my initial reaction. But McCrae pumps up their fans at every opportunity as he knows they consider themselves the '19th' man that will get them over the line. It usually does. If the players start chasing shadows (the chant, Grundy being valued, one-trick ponie etc) it will distract them from the game. They have too many missing and underdone players (ill and returning with little match time) to indulge that luxury this year.
  15. Just jealously by them and the usual 'tall poppy' syndrome at play
  16. Do you know which bays are the 'Guest' bays for Redleg members and their guests? TIA.
  17. The main impact of not having Oliver is they will work on Petracca. But even that will backfire as they need to sacrifice a mid and in doing so will lose even more attacking ability given they are missing their two drivers in Sidebottom and DeGoey. No one can replace Oliver but I reckon Sparrow and Viney can cover his inside work enough to get us over the line...
  18. Sensitive! I thought the colourful descriptions of that team otherwise known as 'The Filth' were quite apt and entertaining, not to mention accurate with a few exceptions of the Coll supporters I know. (Can't disown family...unless for the KB game) If I had posted the comments about Oliver's appearance this thread would have gone into meltdown!!
  19. The story is Christina Petracca has special edition footy boots for the game which will be auctioned to raise funds for MND Great gesture by him. Very glam footy boots!!
  20. Update from bf 'Match Preview' thread: Still condescending but not so nasty as earlier in the week. Thankfully they have stopped the horrible comments about Oliver's appearance (which I didn't include in the op) but Fritsch gets a bit of 'attention' albeit good naturedly. The Pies are gonna be decisive...We'll move forward without fear. We'll take things on and being decisive is crucial. Pies by 9 points! Pies to win a clutch kind of finish of the game and win it by 7 points. With all the s**t people are talking about Grundy this week, you just know he’s going to have a career best game against us… I like Petracca and Oliver. I don’t like Fritsch. Vanity and footballers don’t sit well together, especially when there’s this thing called ‘Maynard’ who has no regard for carefully coiffed hair. Fritsch will be very nervous. Fritsch doesn't have a garage or a wine cellar but here's a peek at his version of a man cave (Image of a barber's shop follows) Not enough mirrors. Bruzzy is due for a real Bruzzy like performance this week...Fritsch, your number is up, champ. Then there’s the Pie’s momentum, which is also scary. I’m starting to feel sorry for our opposition. I'm not convinced Melbourne are a top 4 side. We will drop games, but it won't be this one. He was never returning off the back of the hammy, let alone the 'blister' incident. Crispy to sit on Trac all day now. This will be a good test for when we play the real contenders. In response to ‘Collingwood’ chant at our training: If thats true then we are deep in their heads. This is Leading Teams/Collective Mind psychobabble stuff, not football.his is some Richmond theme song on a bus type s**t. Wow. They might give our chant a go in their 3/4 time huddle haha they’re scared They're training to win junk time, after we've won the game. Arteta did this for Arsenal training last year before playing Liverpool at Anfield, and it backfired terribly This is the opposite of winning mentality. Good way to put our psychological juju even more in their heads before the game. Collective Mind and Arsenal springs into mind Grundy might have it as his ring tone. Maybe they should concentrate more on our players instead of us supporters. This is like the richmond theme song water board torture. Surely it isn't true. On their illnesses: Covid still going through the club apparently, will be interesting to see who trains tomorrow… I heard it before Howe went on and said he had covid on tv. Apparently a few still have it. Wait and see tomorrow for training I guess. Channel 7 said Cox had suspected Covid and Josh and someone else have a cold. I’ve heard there’s more but will see tomorrow I guess. Hopefully just precautions and they are fit. Concern is always playing flat after being sick Surely players can play with COVID if they have little to no symptoms? Finally some humour: I wonder if Ed Langdon and the Melbourne cohort still think we’re all duck and no dinner. Let's show them who we are, and that's one trick ponies. Hope Fritsch puts on a 2021 GF like performance! In my op I thought Dees in a heart stopping 9pt victory. If the illness rumours are true I reckon it will be a comfortable 3 - 4 goal win!! But I do wish Goodwin had not mentioned Grundy now being at a club that valued him - just fodder to fire them up ala Langdon's comment last year.
  21. I bet Maynard goes for JvR really early. Hope Smith and Max are nearby to help. Someone will go for McVee altho he will have May and Salem to protect him. I daresay Cox will also make a beeline for Grundy. A knee to the rib cage perhaps - seems the go for a few CB ruckman these days. Hope that after the Langdon incident last year our players are alert to these tactics to unsettle our young players.
  22. Love the video but not on a train please: Next day's headline: Dees fan Murdered by angry Pies!!
  23. In the 2021 GF Salem, May and Viney legally dropped Weightman, Hannan and McCrae in the first few minutes with ferocious tackles. The Bulldogs weren't ready. None of them had any impact. They are our 3 hard nuts and looking for them to do the same to the Pies early, especially May to Cox. Their players will remonstrate but hey lets ruffle a few black and white feathers!
  24. I have two Redleg seats that will be empty as will be sitting in the Guest area. They are in front of the Lindsay Hassett room so there shouldn't be too many pies fans. If you would like a number just PM.
