  1. Terrible disposal by Maynard. You love to see it.
  2. How is that deliberate!
  3. Good to see the Lions have turned up. A great tackle on de Goey.
  4. I want to see Maynard crying before the night is out.
  5. The World Athletics Champs are on SBS Viceland if this game is over.
  6. Agreed - go for the maximum contrast. Why make it harder for people to enjoy the game? My brain is doing a lot of work trying to separate the teams.
  7. I asked ChatGPT.....I will summarise the answer as 'marketing'. Here’s what I found out about why the Gold Coast SUNS are wearing a pink guernsey recently: What’s going onIn 2025, the SUNS unveiled a predominantly pink guernsey as part of a new “Pink Collection”. (goldcoastfc.com.au) The first time it was used was during the AFL’s Gather Round, in their match against North Melbourne. (Zero Hanger) Since then they’ve worn it in several games (e.g. Round 13, Round 21, and a semi-final). (afl.com.au) Why pink?According to the club’s statements, there are a few reasons: Visual & branding statement: The club is embracing a more “bold”, “trailblazing” identity. They want to break from tradition and push boundaries with their look. (Zero Hanger) Connection to local imagery: The design is meant to pay tribute to the “quintessential pink skies of a Gold Coast sunrise”. That is, it reflects something distinctive about the Gold Coast environment. (goldcoastfc.com.au) Part of a rebranding: The pink guernsey is part of a bigger rebrand launched in late 2024, involving a new logo, new home and clash guernseys, updated club colours, etc. (Zero Hanger) If you like, I can show you some fan responses—some people love it, some think it’s too radical. Do you want to see those?
  8. Is anyone else having trouble with the kits being too similar, especially with the long range views?
  9. A great review for the Suns.
  10. Freo are such a flaky side. I would have preferred OT.
  11. Nobody asked for the Suns or the Giants. I still resent their presence.
  12. I hate the Pies the most, daylight is second, third and fourth, fifth varies depending on how well teams are doing.
  13. I wasn't expecting a Des Cahill tweet on Aussie TV. It was celebrating Oisin Mullin's first AFL goal. https://x.com/sportsdes/status/1963910370331955509
  14. Case closed - that is exactly the right response from an Irish person. 😀
  15. I am torn. I dislike Geelong greatly but they have a few Irish lads playing.
  16. The umps keeping it close.
  17. The team could cost two managers their jobs in one week.
  18. Is he asking if you can coach?
  19. 1 goal 6 behinds and a Clarry kick to the Port defender - our last scores.
  20. Three frees on the siren? FFS.
  21. I only watch Pies games if we are playing. The corruption in favour of Collingwood is disgusting.
  22. Well played umps.
  23. 10 minutes or less 😀. He got at least two touches. Possibly, the easiest medal ever won.
  24. Not sure exactly what you are asking. He was with Essendon for a few years, had a bad experience during Covid - got blamed for testing positive and causing games to be delayed. He went home to Ireland, won an All-Ireland for Tyrone, and came back to Brisbane. He has been their sub for the finals. He played his role against Geelong when the game was up for grabs.
  25. Delighted to see Conor McKenna get to play. No pressure on him in this game. He is the second player to do the double - Gaelic Football and Aussie Rules.
