It just bewilders me how much Sylvia and Watts are criticised on these sites........Some want the No 1 pick to be as good as Johno Brown or Saint Nick by the age of 21,when he is playing in a crap side for the past 4 years.......Is it just that your expectations are too high?????.....How will J Patton go this year???....Are the expectations of him by the hand full of GWS supporters to high???? Has Kreuzer lived up to expectations in his, what sixth??, year.....and are Carlton supporters bagging him from year one???....Was he a bad pick...was Cotchin a better No 1??? I know we all want our players to be stars NOW,but history tells us it takes some years for this to evolve.... Lay off em and support your own players.....

Geeeeezz....When I played footy I stood still a lot....Or so the coach told me....lol....

In the next ten years it's going to be hard for all Vic clubs......I believe that once we start to win a few game we will leave behind clubs like Nth and the Bulldogs.....I think that once the tanking crap is over and we have a steady year this club could be great again......Wins equal members....In 87,88 and a few years after we filled Waverley Park and the 'G' so we have supporters ....we just have to convert them into members....It can be done.

I hardly think Nth Melb are thriving.....I think they are below us on the membership ladder....

Lifting membership takes a lot of time and work in the Darwin and Casey areas....The club is doing a lot of good work in these areas (Clinics and training forums)......And this is in Australia where footy is well known.......China is another country where they know nothing of the game and I would think,have little interest....The club is having success in the Casey area but it takes time,money and effort and we are achiving this....

I am by nature a pessimistic person....but even I have a "bit of a feeling about this year".....I often expect the worst and hope like hell for the best but seeing the training reports and the signs coming out of the club. I am a little optimistic When I watch the games, my right leg moves by itself when one of our players has a kick....It's like I am trying to help him kick it. It takes all types I suppose.....

I agree....The jumper was truely awful.....and went away from our true colours....

Come on old dee.......Why would the AFL want to get rid of it's oldest club....There has been more irrelevant clubs in the AFL's history than ours.......StKilda,Bulldogs, ......Clubs that cannot make a profit even in premership years....Clubs that are millions in debt......Is Nth relevant?????....We are going through a tough time but the world turns....Clubs go up and down very quickly these days..... In the Northey years we had supporters hanging off the roof (not members) but the supporters were there.....We have an inferiority complex...We are apart of an 18 team competition....and it will stay that way in the forseeable future....

"Encouraging words"???......It might make you feel better but may not be best for the club at this stage I would have thought.....

What do you want him to say......A good poker player keeps his cards close to his chest....Does not change his expression.....Gives his opponents nothing.......Until he has won the game......Some people want a running summary.....I trust the club on this.....I would rather be kept in the dark as a supporter and have the club win the day rather than to know exactly what was happening and lose....

I agree with this "nut"......I don't think the club can hang anyone out to dry on this and I think we should back our Admin to the hilt....otherwise who the hell would want to work for us in the future if we drop people at the slightest bump in the road.....I think it's a case of one in all in....I would be so pizzed if we don't....

I bought the prospectus(first time I've read it) this morning and I must say that all these facts and figures gave me a headache......45% of such and such stats which is equal to so much % of league numbers by % of clubs......Same stats for VFL or SANFL which must give someone employment......but unless you want to play DT or Supercoach, it is all meaningless to me......Just my opinon but I won't buy it again and prefer the AFL's Season guide......

I don't think it's the AFL's right to sack anyone.......They do not employ CS...so how on earth can they sack him??????

It must be a very hard situation being aligned to an AFL club.....The AFL club will do what is right by them, at the end of a season(see the past two years finals).....Yet they have to recruit players to try to win games.....They are required to play the AFL clubs players in certain positions and some for limited game time....but still have to satisfy their own members and traditions... Lets not be to hard on them for trying to do the best they can for their own club.....
