Come on.....The AFL would be worried about all sides that are getting flogged each week....Why are they so worried about us all of a sudden......

That's just living in the past Robbie........Just how this would help the club....I don't know.......We would have to pay out all contracts for the Football dept (Neeld,Craig and Misson)....It would cost us millions to get Roos....Not bad to plunge the club into millions of debt ......and what insurance is there that the new coach would succeed.......In five years we could still be in the lower half of the ladder and in hopeless debt......

So you would sell your soul for a flag????? Why would the AFL save us????.....and not the Bulldogs......who last time I looked were 1 to 2 mil in the red..... Not having a go but I would be careful what I wish for..... Edit ......Grammar.

As I said in another thread......If the AFL is so worried about us that they appoint our coach....They can get stuffed....they obviously don't want my, or my family's memberships.....

So Roos is to be the saviour of this club because the AFL are worried about us......God give me strength......Since when do the AFL run this club......Who then worries about the Bulldogs...Nth...Ect.....Paul Roos took 202 games to get a premiership......Not sure posters here could wait that long..... If the AFL are running my club, they can do it without my support..... If this is true, which I doubt......MFC will have 6 less members from my family...

So your basing that the coach should be sacked because in 3 schools there is less MFC jumpers........God give me strength....

I just can't believe the short sightedness of some posters here......We hired a coach to BUILD a side that will be sustainable finals side......This cannot be done in 1 year.....I realise that people want INSTANT success....but have no patience for this to occur.......People want a new coach...an instant messiah to cure all our woes.....and they want it NOW.....When Neeld was hired....He stated that it would take three years to get this footy club up to AFL standard....and people accepted this.....But as soon as the losses came they all just threw up their hands and said SACK the coach.....God I hate this thread....

What?????....Since when do parents not like the coach?????......Poor little darlings..........."My boy should be in the team.....This coach is nasty to my boy".........No wonder we are in the mess we are.......Geeezz..

So....we sack the coach......and replace him with another.....We change the whole game plan and defensive work that they are learning..(other teams learnt it a long time ago).......While we are learning this whole new game plan....We cop some terrible hidings ....DL's go into melt down again and we sack the coach......THEN ......we get another coach and HE implements a whole new game plan.......While we are learning this game plan......We cop some terrible hidings and so on and so on Sometimes you have to let a coach implement a whole change of culture at a club......Not tear it down again and again...... There will always be posters that want to rip the place apart when things go bad.......We have to go though with this appointment.......Otherwise will will just keep shooting ourselves in the foot.....Just by the way who is going to replace Neeld.........Roos....will never coach again......Mathews?....will never coach again.......Another untried coach ???.........And when they don't provide instant success >>>>DL's will be moaning that we didn't have the foresight or the guts to stand by a decision that I think is a good one.....

What a lot of crap.........This is a perfect way to bring him in and get a taste of AFL footy......There is no pressure on him now.....It is not a stupid decision only for DL's ......It's called development........Which all have been bleating about....

I like most of this post except the part "The coaching staff have got it wrong".....I didn't know that he had a degree in coaching....I can't remember him ever coaching.....AFL or anywhere else......What makes him an expert (that everyone on here thinks he is) in coaching. He is here to review the business and overall state of the club and how we can do better.....He is not here to COACH....

So....If what posters are saying.......If Neeld and our boys win this week.......All this crap (for the past66pages) goes away....Neeld and the players love each other.......The club will have turned around.....Neeld will be our saviour....and every body here will be gushing about all the players and the coach....... Fair dinkum.........This is the worst thread I have seen and wont read the crap on here again.....

But we have to start somewhere.... It's no use whining about what mistakes we have made over the last 7 years....They are gone....all we can do is learn by our mistakes and move on....I believe this is what is occurring now....I don't know what posters expected this year...Finals??....You've got to be kidding......We have 14 new players ....Did you just think by magic it would all just click and away we go....I have been waiting for a long time too....but I have the confidence that it will come.....I just don't read all the crap about us in the media.....

Didn't know where to put this but this thread seems appropriate ....... Went to a dinner last night for a catch up of my local clubs under 18's premiership side (A very long time ago)..In which I played.. Spoke to a good friend who is a long time MFC member. He was rung up by the MFC volunteers enquiring why he had not renewed ...He stated that he was fed up with the club...Hated the coach and the way things were going.....After speaking to the volunteer he renewed his membership for this year....... I just want to thank the volunteers for all the great work that they are doing and it shows that this club is not dead yet..... I know that this is the most frustrating time for our footy club......But these blokes are bloody marvellous......

It's funny that we all have our favourites....I too think Watts will become a very good player but I think that what Neeld has started will also come to be good for the footy club.......
