I'm a believer in sink or swim. Whilst Trengove has suffered from lofty expectations as has Watts ,they will come out of it as better players. Gysberts swam,then sunk,which was odd but then we have had a few like that before. Blease,Evans,Strauss and Gawn have missed so much footy through injury that they will have another year to show their stuff. Frawley matched it from the start and never makes excuses . Having said all that ,i am sure Roos will play the fittest,best team available regardless of name or reputation ,age or experience.

Cannot remember Yze ever being considered a leader. If he kicked 4 and his opponent 3 then it was a good day. I loved watching Yze play but the general vibe was that he was slack.

Schwab meant well,actually did a pretty good job, and ultimately failed due to a two year vendetta ran against him by a COAT from the Age. The main thing is he got us that desk, Jordy Gysberts and Scully. I dont like everything he did , but he managed to balance the books in a pretty dire time. I wish him well in is new vocation and hope he can become chief football writer for the Age very shortly.
