I wonder if the three mid tier midfielders that I was told we are chasing are Shiel and Savage as well as Levi Greenwood? No idea, just heard about three are wanted. Could Aish really slot into the midfield? My understanding is he isn't built like a midfielder. I just don't get the endless stocking up on defenders and forwards when there is a desert in between them that G Healy described as the worst midfield he has ever seen (as in from any club, ever)... I haven't heard anything about Shuey but Im liking what im reading here. Also reported on several facebook pages that Col is over in WA talking either Freo or West Coast - youd assume as a top up for Freo for another flag tilt due to his age? Free agency is a [censored] for the lower clubs I reckon...

Heard the same again today: Sylvia club is confident will resign interest in Levi Greenwood Fitz a possible trade item.

I reckon if we attracted one mid we might be more likely to attract others for the right price ofcourse.

Gees this thread is long on opinion and low on actual rumours. Heaps of rumours swirling around today none of which seem to have appeared here. 1. Trade period doesn't start until Friday. Not a rumour. 2. Roos wants mids and a running defender. 3. Interest from Dees in Levi Greenwood 4. Pick 2 if not traded for Sloane which the club is still bullish on it will be traded for a group of second tier mids perhaps with sweatners. 5. Colin Sylvia all but ready to resign. 6. Roos wants players that can kick straight. Might spell trouble for Bail but Nicho will be a tagger next year. 7. Expect surprises... 8. Daisy still will be a blue.

Couple of observations. the last thing gws and GC want or need is more draft picks. We will struggle to get either swallow or Adams with pick 2. I wonder if dusty might take a smaller offer now the hype has died down? most clubs now realize that the game is won or lost in the midfield so will hang on to their best mids. the main thing we have in numbers is key position players.

I had beers with some boys from the Tecoma Upwey Tigers tonight. The rumour around the club is still that Rory wants to come home.

Sheahan was nowhere to be seen when Schwab and Connolly were around. Was one of the first to suggest Roos was a chance and then asked the questions that got Brock to public ally don us in for tanking and an investigation that saw McLardy, Schwab and Connolly. end result Roos and all of a sudden even Denim has nothing but good things to say about us.

Ok this is what I have heard - Dees in a big way into either Swallow or Sloane with a player and a pick 2 for a lower pick swap. Club considering an offer up to 1.2 over three years for Taylor Adams. Sources - internet only but repeated.
