Honestly I think there is something wrong with the team. Too many players have gone light years backwards. Im starting to think we have a mutiny on our hands.
-
We could get a few from Wang Magpies and they'd be stars compared to...
-
Bring back Angry Phil Read!
-
Perhaps the players just didnt or dont respect Bailey or Neeld - maybe we did need a coach that had been a hard-arse player.
-
Perhaps we could give the support staff a game?
-
Mitch Clark and Magner are the only players I'd keep in this side. I thought our list was poor when Daniher got the boot, but all bailey has done is put games into players that just dont cut it. I remember reading that Malcolm Blight sacked 16 players on arrival at North Melb. I think Neeld should do the same - I honestly believe that we wouldnt be any worse and at least if we got flogged afterwards people would know why. The following players have no future in a successful Melbourne FC: Bennell, Bartram, Bail, Davey, Morton, MacDonald, Blease and Watts. Stef Martin and Mark Jamar both had plenty of ordinary seasons before they showed a bit in a few, perhaps old habits have just returned.

Jonesy!

Is Mitch Clark our soul forward? geeeesss....
-
Rivers doing well. Dunn always has a crack whether you like him or not, i think he is dependable. Magner looks a goodie. Watts, Clark and MacDonald disappointing so far. Our midfield just doesnt compare. The only part of our team that is up to par is our defense. I always like Bennell. He hasnt been given a good chance yet.

Best way for the Eagles to guarantee themselves a goal is to let us try and kick it into our forward 50.
-
Cale Morton should have been given the arse. Just like Brad Miller and Travis Johnstone we just keep players on our list because we want to believe they will improve, but they often dont seem to.
-
His made a career out of over-reacting and being a wind bag. Who cares.
-
I just want to see a breakout game - i dont even care who it is. Bennell always impressed me.
-
More Id say that if you look at where we were 4 years ago versus now we arent any better off. if you look at the list of 2003 / 04 it looked a lot more positive in many ways.

But remember Beamer was supposed to be our replacement for Scotty Thompson - who has had a few bad injury seasons.
-
Come on fellas - how many bad games does Beamer have? I have more faith in him than many of the other older players.

How will you celebrate a Dees' flag?

In grade 1 - back in 1983 my best mate at the time and I made an agreement that we'd walk down the main street of our hometown naked when we win a premiership. Still waiting -
Sums it up perfectly.

There is always an element of luck in picking players. Until Cotchin and Dustin Martin everyone was saying how terrible Richmond's recruiting has been. Personally, I think out midfield has never recovered from losing Scotty Thompson. He looks to me like another Travis Johnstone - 'potential' and 'talent' mean sweat FA if they never develop into hard working players. Melbourne has been great at holding on to some pretty ordinary players - Brad Miller was a fine example (his break out game was 'just around the corner' but it never came.) Whereas I always thought that Ferguson was shown the door too early.

His obviously close to his dad - but not close enough to be aware that he was offered a position back in Feb...

We really need a superstar. A player that always plays well no matter what. When was the last time we had one of those??

Round 1 - who's looking better - Tigers or Dees?

Miight just be new coach curse?? -
I just want to see some passion and some effort. The rest will follow. But when you see blokes putting in half arsed efforts you wonder why you bother buying membership when they can bother playing with conviction.

Okay....where does the improvement come from?

Not a bad call mate. -
Exactly - words. Actions seem a lot harder.
