Have to admit to only watching about 10 minutes of this junk, but my two observations are: 1. 5.15 always, always comes back to bite you in the bum. 44-13 inside 50s - not like they are going to have 26 for the gam. They will have 45-50 and kill us. 2. We desperately needed the score board to reflect our dominance and be far enough ahead that we could run around like millionaires in the second half. We didn't need a fight to the death battle in 71% humidity.
Maybe they are hoping he will get eaten by a stray crocodile.
In my old-man midweek sporting competitions, I can tell when I'm just cruising through a game, or when I've made a conscious choice to run hard and play properly. Surely these blokes can do that by now - it's astonishing.
As I said a few weeks ago, who really cares? Even if we make it, we'll play a final against someone like Hawthorn, Geelong, Collingwood or North, any of whom will belt us into next year. Edit: Or GWS or Adelaide!
This. What everybody who says we lost the match with our 50 entries fails to see is that we would have won anyway, despite our 50 entries, if the umpires officiated the game remotely fairly. If we got a fair playing field, and used our entries properly, we would have won by about 15 goals.

Interesting. What often happens in a corporate setting like this is that when the bloke who has done the hard yards internally is passed over, he goes somewhere else to get the promotion. If you thought you were ready for a CEO role, and obviously got close this time around, why would you hang around for 10 years until Pert retires? There will be fallout from this, no doubt.
And Hannan when he goes in there. I cringed on Monday when he got stuck on his right and kicked it like I would kick on my left. Awful stuff.
We are about 20-30% ahead of the teams we are likely to be competing with for one of the last couple of spots. Will be irrelevant, if we have enough wins we have enough wins.

Have a quick Google - he was pencilled in as the next captain right across the footy world, but I thought there had been some internal stuff which meant that he didn't get it. I could be remembering incorrectly!
He was their last captain too, until there was a player revolt and they gave it to Mundy.
