  1. Hate to say it, but I think we have better flag chances if we take it easy today, no injuries and are in better shape for Collingwood at the G, than bursting our boilers trying to beat Sydney, who really want to win (causing greater injury and niggle chances) then the Lions at the Gabatoir.

  2. Hate to say it, but I only want this game to facilitate our not playing finals interstate.

If we lose we stay in fourth place and probably play the pies at the G.

If both Brisbane and Port lose, we must win to go to 2nd place.

If just one of Brisbane or Port win, we must lose to avoid playing interstate, Unless the Pies lose, Brisbane win and Port lose, then we must win to play the Pies in 2nd place.

Ours is the last of those 3 games.

  3. I have a big bombers supporting old girlfriend in Melbourne, and I live overseas.

Would this be a good time to just happen to email to see how she is, and how the footy's going? 😁

Look, I love Bowie. He’s been an inarguable legend and made a lot of his supporters very happy over the years. But he is very prone to massive dips in form. In fact it’s fair to say that the thirty years between “Absolute Beginners” and “Blackstar” were, from both an artistic and AFL perspective, a real walk through the desert.

    Hahaha   good get Mel !

    Bowie? Why?

I like Bowie and he kicks well. Spargo kicks well though not over 40m, and has been poor lately along with several of our small forwards.
We have tons of pretty good back flankers who fit in with our defense.        It's far enough out from finals not to mess things up while we briefly see if Bowie might help our relatively poor forward line.

  6. Personally it would take a really disgusting act for me to ever boo.

Professional sport is part of the entertainment business.  I've worked my life in the entertainment business (music) where it's generally acceptable for an audience to cheer or boo whatever they want.

I may be wrong but, though I almost never boo, I support anyones right to do so.  Not to be able to react naturally feels almost like being controlled in some sort of fascist or communist like society or something to me.  Please relax and let others relax at the footy, cheer or boo if they want.  Please be Tolerant of opposing opinions without letting them spoil your enjoyment.  Thanks

  7. All I recall is playing North R10 last year.  They did all they could to hurt our players.

We won, going 10-0, but were so beaten up, our season went down the toilet from then on.

Maybe we need some battering rams against them this time.  Keep Hibbo, is Schache tough enough?   Rest some niggled players (May?).

Whenever I get a new smartphone, without fail the screen gets scratched inside the first year of having it.

It might be the light in this waiting room but I can clearly see it while trying to read this thread.

If anyone has any fixes PM me. It's not a deep scratch but is noticeable.

    I broke a shoelace last week :)
