The Sub is supposed to have an impact. To my mind, Cale's impact was mainly to help keep the Tigers in the contest...grrr I am watching Pies v Swans what a contest. We can't afford to have too many players selected each week that value their personal safety over the good of the team (Morton, Strauss, LJ, Bennell), the Hawks, Pies and Cats have eliminated these types. If Cale really aint into it he should have a rest next week.

Of all other clubs, the FD consider Richmond to be its closest ranked peer. The Tiges really have a swagger going. I was there today and the disappointment of Monday seemed miles away. While Freo were very ordinary we did thump them and a few new boys got going. Lets hope our confidence can continue through next week. Shame about Col G, I love him out there. It will not be an easy game for us to win against RFC but of course I am eternally hopeful...

We were ordinary against GC especially the third quarter yet we kept the same team. We seem to have no agression, no determination. We are lost. Direction comes from our coaches. Our backline has really regressed this year. Did Royal ever play in the backline? Gee its hard being a Melbourne supporter. Is there any other team around that gives its supporters such constant grief and disappointment. A little effort goes a long way..........

Bailey loves the word competitive...it's a pity were not even a bit....Roos or Malthouse anyone? What a difference Hird has has made to Ess. Did anyone noticed how ineffective Morton's tackle on Kerr was...gee we look soft, disorganised and badly prepared... I wish I supoprted someone else...........sick of feeling like crap

11 Days to prepare for this game. Bailey and his coaches haven't done a great job. So many basic football errors and our game plan? On the day the big AFL TV rights deal is announced this sort of game is not going to inspire advertisers to part with their money.....anyway I hope for better second half (like the Fremantle game but with Dunn and Watts kicking straight...)
