He’s won us 2 out of 5 games this year off his own boot. We are crying out for speed and ball use and talent like his. But by all means let’s trade him off because he, like every other Melbourne player, missed gettable shots. I think Lindsay should be traded too. 0.5 this year. A wasted draft pick.

Our draw gets progressively harder from here on in. Including 3 interstate trips in a row after we have to play the best team in the competition next week, who we play once more to finish the season. Also still need to play Gold Coast and Adelaide away, Hawks again, and the Dogs. We are seriously cooked.

Imagine coming off a 0-5 start to the year and having the nerves to expect an easy win, after you got done by bloody North Melbourne earlier in the season. What a laugh.

I take your point about the smaller grounds, but it doesn’t excuse the lack of defensive pressure, nor explain the goal kicking from hell. I can count one, maybe two players who won their positions today. The rest either got spanked, or broke even. Ross totally shut down Bowey and Langdon (17 and 13!! touches respectively), which killed our ball movement and spread from half back. We also got spanked in uncontested possession and had a lovely 25% goal scoring accuracy. You don’t win like that at the G, at Alice or on Mars. You just can’t win games with this level of total ground incompetence.

Oh no, what will the club do if supporters don’t tell them that bad goal kicking is bad? They’ll never know!!! 🙄

Obviously missed the 2023 final against Carlton. If I survived that goal kicking effort, I’ll survive anything. A nuclear war would be less painful.
